front straight axle conversion?

I was just wondering a ball park for converting my 96 4x4 taco front end into straight axle and leafsprings. is this even a good idea in the long run as far as off road performance goes?

LOL OP the cheapest your going to be able to "do a SAS right" is about $6000 and that's doing all the fab work yourself.
