Was supposed to change the spiral cable but the replacement wasn't correct, the horn was on all the time, lol. Waiting for a replacement now.

While in Harlan, somehow the set screw came loose for the universal at the steering box and it came loose. Steering wheel went round and round, horn and cruise :( were the casualties. Never checked those but will from now on.

Odd thing is the next day the exact thing happened to Eric, only his was the universal on the orbital valve.

I'm in the same boat. Cruise works, but no horn.

My DD doesn't have cruise. haha Though I do wish it did.

Got a brand new clock spring here for sale. For sr5, not sport, if it goes on a trd sport, it'll work, but the radio controls won't work.

Thanks guys but I got another one ordered last night. Should be here tomorrow so I have plenty of time. Plus Badlands is close enough that even my pansy ass doesn't need cruise control.

Sorry I missed this. The spiral cable, sometimes called clock spring, is a ribbon cable assembly which is behind the steering wheel, and allows to wheel to rotate each way without just twisting up the wires for the controls located on the wheel itself.

New spiral cable came in yesterday and was installed. Works great now!

Picking up "refreshed" driveshaft's today after work, then just gotta pack up some tools and I am ready to wheel! :D

Summers or at the Park? Summers would be my recommendation if your bringing the fam. Much more family friendly, less crazy drunks.

It's not an event weekend so I doubt there will be many "crazy drunks" there!
