I am planning to SAS my 04 tacoma soon. Just wondering how much I should pay for a front axle, preferably a dana 60.

Just saw this ad on CL, and wasnt sure if it would be a good buy.

The d60 looks a bit skeptical on the cover, and I dont really know much about dana 70 rears. Are they as good as a 14b?

allpro long travel, shackle flip with ome dakars, cruisin offroad bumpers and sliders, 4.88 gears with arb's front and rear, budbuilt skids.
stay away from that front axle. closed knuckle 60's are garbage. personally would go for a 14 bolt over a d70, because of the third pinion bearing supporting the snout and the ability to shave the pumpkin for better clearance.

Maybe it's just me but things like axles should be bought from the factory or manufacturer unless you're a mechanic. Too many people trying to make a quick buck on Craigslist.

Well then get ready to shell out the dough bud... ^

But yes, I ended up with an axle full of mud and sand and junk, good thing I only needed the carrier and the housing. Bastards...

Pull the covers and inspect for sure.
