I'm in Little Rock. This seemed like as good a time as any to make my first post.

All the trails I know of are about an hour and a half away. Used to be closer ones but come to find out they were private property:rolleyes:

They may not be considered trails, but a bunch of the fire roads and stuff leading to hiking trails in the area are in pretty rough shape and they're public land so I assume its ok.

I know where there are a ton of logging roads in madison county. But that is about as close as it gets to fayetteville anymore. Mulberry river also has good trails along shores lake road if you like mud holes and hanging out by the river. My wife loves it, I offroad, she fishes. Works out pretty good if you ask me.:D

One of the areas I was thinking about is in the White Rock Mtn/Mulberry area that off road yota was describing. Another similar area is around the Kings River southwest of Eureka. You could also head west towards Lake Wedington. When I lived in Fayetteville, we did alot of hiking per the Tim Ernst books. Several of the trails would indicate that you needed a "serious 4wd" to get to the trailhead or you had to hike an extra few miles. I don't know what he considers a serious rig, but it might be something else to look into.

I agree. There are lots of Tacomas around Cent. Ar. If there was enough interest maybe Goodsell by you would let a sign hang in their window & possibly use their lot for a meet.

Yes, that's a good location. Plenty of space, easy to get to. I'm all for it. I work every other weekend but with advance notice i could get off.
