Here we go again. I posted up awhile back that I might be looking at moving up to Oklahoma City for a new job. The first job fell through along time ago but I might be selected for another upcoming position (nothing is final yet). So, I may be hitting you guys up with more question like best places to rent an apartment and what areas to stay away from. Thanks.

Got busy with moving, starting a new job, and getting ready to go back to school, but huge thanks to Adam (08PRELB) and Chris (nfs257) for getting my new shocks in. It's all aligned and driving well. I told the alignment shop about the bolt in the LCA but they told me they were able to align it just fine, although when I asked for a print out of the specs they were conveniently out of ink in their printer, so we shall see.

Lost a few lug nuts on the way home from Tinker too haha, but bought some the next day. Again, huge thanks to you guys!

Must have been an oversight, but no harm no foul. I'm thinking my next addition will be a roof rack, after having to make several trips while moving because of my small bed. Hope all is well for you!

Feel like I post this every year whenever I move back to Norman, but any TW members at OU/Norman? There's way too many nice Tacomas here for it to just be me...

For those of yall in the Tulsa area, how do yall like it? Recommend moving there? Give me the good and bad aspects of that area. I applied for a job over there and just wanting to make sure I made the right decision to apply for a job up there.

Lived there for 8 years...just recently moved back down southeast to the hills where I'm from.

Tulsa wasn't bad. Crime rate seemed kinda high for the size of town it was. If I was gonna move there, I'd try to avoid living in Tulsa myself. Maybe try to live in Broken Arrow, Jenks, Bixby or maybe even Owasso. Problem is, lots of those neighborhoods are HOA areas where you can't have a boat in your driveway or a dog more than 100#, cant have chickens and stuff like that. I didn't know how country trash I was until I lived in that town.

If you hunt and fish, theres a lot of water and hunting land in NEOK.

Traffic can suck in Tulsa. Always building or repairing roads it seems. The expressways aren't too bad tho.

I was raised in Broken Arrow (I'm married and still living here), and can recommend it. Ditto on Tulsa road construction. I'm fortunate to live in Wagoner County and not in Broken Arrow city limits, and no HOA, I can have fires for downed wood, my neighbor has horses. Tulsa has its problems like any bigger city, but the people are good here, lots of churches around. If you fish or have a boat, lots of lakes and the Navigation channel (that connects the Tulsa area to the Mississippi river) around to go to.

I love living in the Tulsa area. I've been here for about 7 years. I started out in Tulsa, moved to Broken Arrow, and now in Claremore. I would highly recommend around Broken Arrow. If I didn't work in Claremore, I would be back down in BA for sure. Jenks is a nice option as well, but the cost of living is quite a bit more over that way. Besides all the out door activities, Tulsa has a very active downtown with lots of concerts with national acts and events (just had a UFC fight night last weekend). A lot of casinos if you are into that. The climate is pretty mild in all seasons making the out door stuff available most of the year and very reasonable cost of living. I agree that the roads are in poor condition, but they are improving and well laid out which makes getting around very easy (15-20 min from one side of town to the other).

Kneeboarder1025, my sig has that navigation channel in the background :D

I'm going to OU right now. I drive a black 09 access cab. It's got Colorado plates. Send me a PM and maybe we can get some OU Tacoma guys together.

What areas would you recommend for good schools for kids? My wife is terrified of tornados, any advice for that?
