Surely I ain't the only Tacoma in Mississippi...

Biloxi, MS right here! Any of ya'll brought in your yota to Allen toyota to get the leaf TSB replacement? I'm thinking about buying some 5100's and getting that leaf replacement. Just wondering if anyone has successfully had it done down here with little/no grief from the stealership.

Hey Ferg how difficult was it to put those 5100's and aal on your truck? I would like to go the same route sometime next year but after the pain of lifting my old Jeep, I'm kinda burnt out on installing lifts @ home. Oh, nice ride btw

Hey Marfan, the lift was really not that bad. My friend has a body shop with a lift and we used it to put everything on. The AAL was time consuming because we used c-clamps and could move only a little at a time but not difficult. The front was just mainly compressing the spring enough to get it back together. That's only cause i went with the 2.5 lift. All in all not bad at all. Had to have it aligned of course but thats it. I don't have any pictures up of it lifted i need to get on that.

 

From Southaven here. Not really sure, but does anyone from around my area know of a good place to take my truck I'm looking to get about a 3" lift.

well, i'm not a Tacoma owner just yet. i'm in the process of looking for an 07 sport DC4x4. got someone up in the north part of the state looking for me. i've got a car to sale or trade but i hope this process will be over soon. i'm dying to get my hands on one.

That sounds like a great idea! I vote for Red Creek unless you know of some better ones.

Red Creek is all I know of for offroading, but I don't think its prerunner friendly

Yeah, there really isn't much in the way of trail ridin around here. I don't mind sinkin my 4wheeler in a mud hole every once in a while but not the yota. I'll ask around and get back with ya on a possible camping trip for this fall.

hey marfan1007 I may as well be down for the trip....the truck will be spankin new at the time though so prolly not too keen on the red creek mud holes....nothing wrong with camping out and having a few beers after this horrible trip to Iraq though for sure!!

 

oh BTW hve any of you guys gone into performance offroad and talked to them about lifts for Tacos? Just wondering how pricey they are over there
