Are these guys any good with Tacomas? I have been there twice to just talk prices on specific mods and they appeared to be knwoledgeable but not specifically concerned with Tacoma style vehicles...

They just ordered me a grillcraft for $160 without install. Are these guys worth the money for the install? I'm living out of a hotel in VA Beach which is why I did not order it myself (wife got me a $250 certificate from there for our anniversary)...Should I trust these guys with the install?

I've had a few buddies with Chevy's and Dodge's get their lift put on there, no complaints from them. Pungo and Production Offroad are both good places to get work done in my opinion if you aren't in the position to do them yourself.

Right on Colton, I appreciate it. They seemed to understand what I wanted when I explained the "Satoshi" grill (without using Satoshi), they just had no idea what Grillcraft was which brought my concern (even though in their booklet they had like four pages dedicated to grillcraft). I noticed old model Chevy's and a couple of Ford diesels in their lot (I think my Tacoma and wifes X-Terra were the smallest there...combined).

I brought my Dremel up (no idea why) from NC, but that is the only tool I have from this hotel room. But, I have $250 extra dollars lying around (well it is from my own bank account but is secluded to Pungo) and you tell me they're good, so I guess I will go for it...I appreciate it...

Check out my mod thread once I get it done...I posted it like a year ago so I have no idea what the link is...

You still in the Navy Colton?

I've been looking for an off road shop in the area, might go check this place out.

Yeah Duff, there is a shop located near Norfolk, I want to say off of Va Beach Blvd. I'm not sure if it is Production or not but while my wife was looking for a gift she contacte them before Pungo and they actually suggested Pungo for gift certificates. She said they were helpful and nice...so customer support is good...if Production is the one in va Beach Blvd, I'd check them out considering your location, I'll probably stop there a couple of times before I head back to Lejeune...

...are you with AAV's or something up in Norfolk?

i believe the place you are thinking of is called Eastern off road, off the blvd.

i would not recommend them to anyone. WAAAAAYY to overpriced.

production off road, and pungo offroad have had great reviews from everyone i know, or have run into.

and btw, if you need a place to do some work to the rig, ASK! i have a decent sized driveway, and lots of tools.

Well Joben, if Pungo asks too much for the install I'll be in your driveway soon...I'm stationed in NC and won't be here for too long though.

Yeah my friend here on TW (05TRD4WD) got his lift installed at Production and he was very happy with the way it turned out in terms of the work, price, and demeanor of the employees. They do cater to the domestic's more so than the Toyota/Nissan trucks there. Good luck!

Actually, if you scroll the mouse over the insignia, it will show I'm a dependent. My dad was in the "Marine transportation service" :p for 24 years, and served on the Ike back in the 70's & 80's. Sorry if I misled you.

While you are working with Production Off-road ask them about "Monsters On The Beach" ~ The run what you brung stadium race style competition held on the Va Beach ocean front Mothers day Weekend. Production and Pungo are big sponsors.

THe other 4wd shop on Va Beach Blvd in Norfolk is Hi Dust. They have been around 20+ yrs but I don't hear much from them any more.

Noo, I'm with the Security force regiment. I'm currently out in Chesapeake at the training company. I'm gonna call that place tomorrow, see if they can replace my bushings.

I just dropped my truck off at Pungo tonight, they quoted me at $175.00 - $225.00 to replace all my bushings. That's a lot better than the 800 in labor the dealer wanted to charge me! :yay:
