With all this shit coming up I ain't gonna be able to afford shit. That wheel bearing and having it pressed is gonna be $150, but cheaper than $600 from Firestone. I'm glad I know how to search the interwebs and turn a wrench

 

Anyone around Mobile County or Baldwin County selling any alloy 16" factory rims?

I am thinking about buying a set to replace my 15" factory rims on a 1998 Tacoma

I got a set of 2011 17 sport wheels. I dont know if they will fit

After a long absence, here is my return and what is hopefully the beginning of a long string of cool mods!

From Craigslist, I found a Cobra 19 Ultra III working perfectly, with mic, COAX cable, and firestick for $40. Good deal. Here is my install.

These holes were drilled by the previous owner. I had always wondered if if was for a CB. Well turns out it fit perfect, so one less thing I had to do myself...


Here it is mounted:



And here are a few after pics of what I did with wiring it to the firestick:

Under the steering column. I ran the hot wire to the fuse box and just stuffed it into the slot and put the fuse back in.


Ran the COAX under the seat and through the grommet thing:


Here it is coming up between the cab and bed:

Nick and I ran to Lowe's one day and priced a guesstimate on using i think it was 1" conduit. maybe 3/4". i'd have to get the same bar system he has and then put it on top of that. ran a little over $100 if i remember right.

 

Anyone have a garage/shop with a lift that can help me install a toytec extended coil 3 inch lift with add a leaf? Im willing to pay $200 and I'll help install it! Ive just had the lift since Feb and keep putting it off.

 

looking forward to seeing the finished product. unfortunately, i dont know anywhere. Nick and I could probably help you cause I was planning one doing basically the same thing. But you'll have to take it up with him. His house is the "mod shop". haha

 

Anybody wanna get together for wings and a ride the weekend of the 30th? Nothing crazy for me. Just a trail ride to get out in the sticks a bit. Anybody got some suggestions?

 

I dont have a lift but I have everything to do the install (jack and jack stands). If I have a saturday free I would probably be able to knock it out
