I'm looking to do a little offroading, does anyone know of anywhere to go near Charlotte?

A friend and I are going to plan a trip out to Uwharrie soon, but I'd like to find some good places close by if anyone knows of any.

I'll keep you posted. My buddy has an xterra that wants to go and another guy with a sport track might roll as well. I have a full set of 5100's I need to get installed before I head out, and I've been super busy lately. I just need to take a night and get it done.

I'd be up for a Uwharrie run. I've never been there and would like to check it out. Still trying to find some trails around here myself. Been out of off roading for awhile and all the places I used to go have been turned into developments or are posted now. Got the 5100's on mine with the rear TSB and I love em.

Word of advice. Try to get a second set of hands when you do the fronts. If you adjust the ride height the coil overs will be a good deal harder to put back on. You'll need a couple pry bars and and a rubber/leather mallet to get the lower shock bolt back in. Hell, hit me up and If I'm available I'll come help.

I'd be up for that. I don't think the install is gonna be too hard on my 5100's, just a little pain. Plus where i'm doing it I have air for the spring compressors so that will make that job much, much easier. I did a set by hand once, cranking on them with a ratchet, I'll never do that again.

Keep me updated if we do a meet or mod day. I'm hoping to get my shocks on in the next few weeks. I'm thinking 2-3 hours install time.

Wow, I didn't know there was a do it yourself garage around here. I'm definitely up for a mod day if anyone else is interested.

Installing the 5100's tomorrow with my buddy. Hoping it's only gonna take us a few hours. Between the two of us, we've dropped about 20 cars, so I don't think this will be much different. Hopefully easier since they'll be a lot more room to work!

Lrgrnr, I just notice the bigfoot in your pic, haha. I got the 5100's on today. Next step is getting some decent tires on and I'll be ready for a trip to URE. I'll let you guys know!

I'd love to have those sliders on first though!

I'm good to go as well. It'd be nice to get out and play in the mud.

Hey 2011TACOMAWHR, I'm now glad I didn't go with the addicts! I won't be quite as high as you. I have the TSB rear and billy's at 1.75. Just ordered atx artillery's, 17x9 -12mm offset. I'm only running 265/70/17's falkan rocky mountain ats's. I found a pretty smokin deal on both. I'm def looking forward to getting them in and installed.

Rest of my mods/add ons are access roll up tonneau (highly recommended), hardwired V1 radar, and pioneer f-90bt navi. I was thinking about weld on sliders but I think I'm gonna go with avids or n-fabs. 2011TACOMAWHR, what kind are you running, they look good.

After I save up some and get the steps, I'll finish the audio build. Within the next year my girl will be lookin good and soundin good!
