This thread is for the official windrock trip (coal creek) in Oakridge TN the weekend of the 7-9th in October. This the one of my favorite places to wheel and would love to show a few fellow Offroaders what its about.

If you dont already know windrock is 72,000 archers of trails from mild to "brake your shit."

The plan is to arrive Friday Eve and camp at the coalcreek campground. (The nice one) wake up sat early and wheel till dark. Friday/Sunday will be up to your discretion. Cost is 20$ a head and I think camping is similar in cost.

For this trip I will be leading a capable group. If we end up getting several trucks out we will split into smaller groups based on ability. Let this be a warning that I want to wheel and wheel hard. We will help you when needed but I will be running the difficult trails. Where damage is a possibility. Of coarse I'm not intentionally looking for damage but I want people to understand that it may happen.

*Bring spare parts if you have them as someone in the group may need them.
*recovery gear is highly recommended/will get used.
*tools are also necessary so if you have a trail set the more the marrier.
*additional details to follow /if you have questions this is the thread ill be following.
    * anything is invited just note most vehicles will be locked at least one axle. Any any extreme trucks note that most us us are full bodied on no bigger than 35s.

    Additional detail to follow:

Nick. Look up trail 39. Cadillac Hill. Larry and I stopped by at midnight on the last trip. Neither of us committed to the trail. But if you want tuff and to be able to test our rigs 100%. I think this is the trail. And It will take most of the day as well.

We have never seen 39. Once you start there is no turning back. Either from the bottom or the top. Larry,Jacob, and I walked the first 150 yards and it's full of fun. We all agreed it could be a winch fest.

Might be in, hopefully the bumper and winch will be on by then. If not I might hitch a ride with one of you fellas on the "break your shit" trails. :spy:

It's not. From what I remember it's steep. And the first exit has a 4' ledge to get on that rock. The trail starts in a big bottom and is uphill for a few miles.

I'm thinking that if your Bumper Doesn't Get there in time just mount that 4x4 and roll w it.

I'm still deciding on tube bed or not
