    Nice.

thats where I want to be also. Been looking at the xru and saw some custom engine parts I might jump on for the build. Did you get the engine sleeved?

Hey thanks skygear! That's awesome of you. I might have to take you up on that. Seems like it would work out well. Thanks also WildcatTACo, DOUBLLD, WESTLEY KAY and superwhite. Thanks for the great advice y'all are great. I feel a bit less overwhelmed with everything. And it took less than a day to get a bunch of hits and advice.

So I'm going to start doing more research on EMU's, I've come across them plenty of times throughout TW, now I need to dig a bit deeper. Next, I'll have to start looking for a good sized rim/tire to use with the lift. Can't have a lift without a great set of wheels to go with it. So if y'all have some more advice to give I'm more that happy to get it. I'll keep an eye on the for sale items on TW and Craigs List and see if anything pops up over the next couple months also. Might get lucky and snag a good deal from someone. Looking forward to getting back Stateside and getting my truck looking purdy. Later boys. Thanks again.

SCS Stealth 6 wheels look amazing and tires, for a limited off road like you stated probably bfg AT's. cant really beat them for an at. maybe duratracs if you want something a bit meatier.

no problem! thanks for you service! like wildtaco said the SCS wheels look GREAT! if you wanna go with a 16" wheel then i would go with a 285/75-16 tire which would be about a 33" tire and will fill the wheel well nice! not sure about the sizing for 17" wheels off the top of my head. for the lift, i ordered mine from . could also check out www.downsouthmotorsports.com. or just google old man emu and see what the cheapest price you can find is. the biggest price difference you will find with the kits will be what you wanna do with the rear, i.e. add-a-leaf or a full new leaf pack. for carrying loads i would probally shoot for new lead pack but with that being said it will also drive the cost up a bit

Here's the picture I used for my Sig...SCS Stealth 6 matte black wheels with 285/70/17 Nitto Trail Grapplers. This is a 2.5" lift with Bilstien 5100s all around.

High Tech Auto did all the work on my truck so far and they've done an excellent job (not much free time to do it on my own with wife and 2 kids). They set it up where there is no rubbing of the tires and they didn't have to cut/chop anything.

not doubting theyre work but have you turned your wheel (full lock or various combos) while going up steep inclines? i dont know anyone running that size tire that HASNT had to trim SOME plastic. i know it took me awhile to cut out where i was rubbing

Everyones taste in wheels is different. I like a simplistic 5 Star. there werent really any so I ended up With ROCKSTARS. I get crap here for them But I like them and that is all that really matters.

Remember though. The larger the Wheel, the more expensive the TIRE for some reason.

My next set will be bead locks though. REAL bead locks. Not the simulated ones.

Yes I have...turned it all the way, left/right...full lock. I'll keep trying more combos, steep inclines, etc and will repost when I have the chance.

Just curious...So tell me what happens to your tire/truck when it does rub? Does your truck vibrate? Wheels lock up? Nasty noise? I haven't experienced anything that I notice. I even roll the window down when I back it up into the drive way when it is full lock just to try and hear something but I don't. Guess I'll have to take a closer look at the wheel well.

There is still lots of time for me to insert my foot into my mouth :D

just a noise, might feel it a little bit but nothing to shit your britches over, mainly the sound. and if you here it you will be able to spot a shiny spot in the plastic wheverever the rubbing is. its best if it is happening and you can figure out the combo (of incline/turning) to re-create it to make it rub more so its a more noticeable mark on the plastic

That was the ONLY time I heard and felt the rubbing. Reverse into a spot, on a hill.

You are lifted now though right? Might have 'elevated' past the issue. ;) I was stock TRD OR with big tires and wheels so I was pushin it. THen I cut and bashed the shit out of the fender wells.

Now I'm full Icon and there is no issue right now* Might go 35"s
