    It's just a preference thing for some, clearance for others, and a few believe it belongs to the days past. Sliders are the "in" thing now.
    I prefer the nerf bars / tube stebs. The sliders are too skinny looking for me - when I grew up there were guys who could not afford tube steps, so they tried to make their own with water pipe or angle iron - that's what sliders make me think of.
    To each their own.:)

    That's one beautiful truck, OP. I like the X-SP package. I believe it is a south-east thing - I have seen quite a few around here, but not up north.
    I love the wheels (BBS and BFG).
    Very nice.
