Yep that's the thread. Pretty straight forward. Firestone is decent if you are very specific with them.

I was as specific as I could be with them, told them I wanted 0 toe, 0 camber, and between 2 and 3 caster. They said they couldn't get those numbers, so truck was sitting at about 1 caster, at least prior to the trip to Balch's. This was Firestone on route 10 near WalMart, in Chester. I've heard that they're all different so maybe other ones have better techs. Bought the lifetime alignment a few years ago and have used them 3 times in the past 2 months for it with limited success. This last time they didn't even put my truck on the rack until 4:55, when they close at 5. I was back there with them watching them try to align it up until close to 6pm. I can say that I'm done with that location. If there's another one that's good I'll go there since it's free, but I'm of the thought process that I'm through with their service. I'd rather pay money to have it done right the first time.

Hey guys, pardon me if it's been talked about on this thread, but I am looking to have some work done to my truck...lift, new tires and wheels, alignment, CMC maybe...Do any of you central VA guys have a recommendation for a good shop to do the work? I'm in Lynchburg, but would be willing to drive a couple hours for a solid recommendation.

FYI for others reading this, don't go to Pungo or Eastern. Nothing but bad experiences had by other TW members.

Quotes are one thing but messed up headliners, lug nuts, and missing parts is a whole different ball game.

If my garage wasn't a wreck I'd have no problem installing a lift. Most of the locals in the Richmond area go to "Davis Off Road" they've been around for awhile and have a good reputation in the area.

Really? I contacted them about a lift and had them reccomend blocks in the rear and spacers in the front, all for about $800. When I said I wanted an entire suspension lift they said it'd be over $2000 just for parts. They further claimed all the Tacomas they put them on had issues afterwards (mostly alignment and ride issues). I'd say spend $1000 on an OME lift or Biksteins or whatever suspension upgrade you want and do it yourself in your driveway. That's what I did all by myself and although it took me all of a Saturday, I got what I wanted. Just my $0.02
