    My breather is moved inside my bedside cubby, so it was still clear.

    Toyota replaced the seal under warranty. This happened shortly after changing to Mobile 1 synthetic. It seems that some people get a leak right after changing to synthetic, not sure if that is just internet rumor or what. This also happened after we went for the run at the slab, so possible something from that. I cleaned it all up when I first noticed the leak and didn't see anything particularly wrong. My truck was also parked for 4 weeks. It wasn't leaking when I left, but when I got home, there was a puddle under the truck. Cleaned it all up and the next day it was back.

    synthetic behaves different under heat than regular. I want to say the viscosity is much lower in synthetic at higher temperatures and that's why people start to get leaks because of the increasing heat and thinning liquid. Don't QFT me though cause it's been almost three years since my tribology class.

    Alright, August 31st I plan to do my monthly maintenance on my Tacoma by engaging 4 wheel drive for 10 miles (or approximately as much as I need it). Initial thoughts are the Slab or Stoney Lonesome. Other ideas are Hawk's Pride or Hale mountain.

    Come one, come all, but it is time somebody utilized this thread again for a wheeling meet.

    Doesn't the jeep have a radio. If not, I can turn my PA on and blast the Bama game out for everyone to hear.
