you live in a fantasy world dont you? especially if you think that a dealer would cover this when it is blatantly obvious that the lift is the cause of the damage. awwww to be young and naive again.

I was ordering remotely. Now I've started to install all the stuff. Wish it was a little warmer out though.

do you think a cert tech installed everyones lift? not only that but did the tech install it on the clock and bill out for it or do it as a favor or something like that? would make a huge difference. maybe dealerships are different around you, but all of them i have had the displeasure of dealing with are dicks about anything on a lifted truck. heck i went in to get a recall done on my old 08 and they tried to refuse doing the service because it was lifted. and it only had to do with the stupid trimming of the gas pedal... thought it was more than that when i drove it to the lot, would never have taken it if i would have known that

:stirthepot:My dealership is wonderful! The airbag recall was a breeze, dropped it off in the morning and had a new spiral cable a few hours later, picked it up after work. Most recently got 15% off of my Trans fluid. Absolutely wonderful if you avoid the sales people. ;) haven't had anything more done there.

its not just 1 dealer down here. I have been to all 3 in the B'ham area and then the other two that are about 50 miles away from Birmingham in either direction. They just dont like to touch modded trucks. they will eventually, but they dont like it. They really like looking at them and had one offer me a "free carwash" if i would let them "borrow" my truck to park on the lot for a saturday. I laughed politely and said NO. If they would have thrown in a loaner instead of a carwash then i might have. but ive seen results of free carwashes and have entirely too much invested in my detailing products to let them run it through a machine.

Pearson is good about shit too. Not only have I never had an issue, but the did a front end alignment after my lift install for free.

Then again, it's part of the warranty if it's within 12 months or 12000 miles

    Winch question.

Warn VR10000-S ("entry level") or Warn M8000-S which is the premium level and cheaper with the current rebates they have which is why I am even considering it.

Seems like a ton of guys are running the 8k with no issues, some say go 10k. :goingcrazy:

From a Jeep forum where they we're dicussing it a Warn rep popped in and listed these differences:

FYI, the differences between the an M8000 and VR10000 (other than pulling capacity):

    -M8000 is faster
    -VR has a different motor
-M8000 uses a contactor; VR uses solenoids
-VR has a black finish, M8000 has a silver finish
-Different remotes (M8000 remote is a bit sturdier)

I'm just stirring the pot, you all need to work less and post more.

Trucks not going anywhere, am going to get back into breeding Reptiles though.

So, no volunteer driveways for hacking a truck? Guess I'm going to have to post on the 757/804/90210 Toyota and other trucks, SUVs and sports cars of every drivetrain fb page
