Calling all Virginians (Tidewater area)

hey guys, im trying to sell my mtn bike if anyone is interested. looking to make someone a great deal. just gotta sell it because i told the misses i would before i bought a kayak. let me know if anyone is interested. 1999 Scwinn (the actual schwinn not cheap ass walmart stuff) MOAB. low miles and several extras on the bike or to go with the bike.

 

I have a drill, sawzall, and circular saw. I could lend a hand.

 

I've had to do that before on an older first gen Tacoma... I guess we should all be taking those put and greasing them up periodically.
They need some grease zerks on them.

 

Yeah. They make a new kit with zerks...seems like a crap ton of work....

 

I believe Moog has a replacement set with zerks.

 

Yeah. They are twice the cost of the 'normal' ones though . I could keep them anti-siezed just the same. Looking to be an expensive fix unless I score the actual LCAs on the cheap. Maybe I will get lucky and find someone who ditched the OEMs for a long travel setup...

Deal. I have about 75-100 feet to do. Im planning on the home depot pre built for cost and time (and quality... if I did it myself, it would look like english teeth).

No problem. Have a slide and swing in the back yard for my 5 and 2 yo.

Sweet, gonna need those. Probably will have to build our own gate...

Update: Thanks to Brent, Ben, Adam and everyone else who helped on Saturday. The truck made the trip back to DC and handles great. I'm not bottoming out on speed bumps anymore. I do have a sound coming from the front suspension, almost like a "clink" when I am turning slowly like when i'm parking. I got under yesterday and greased a few areas and torqued everything down. It made it a little better, but I still hear it. I'm hoping something breaks or it goes away I guess. Some people say their springs make that noise for a little while until they are broken it.

May be the LCA bolts....they need to be torques to 100ft/lbs

 

I didn't try that. I'll do that and report back.

 

Mine did That After Getting The Alignment Done. Had To Retorque The Lca. All Better now.

 

Cranking dis bish up! Only went up a couple turns but made a big difference. Almost even all the way around now.

Ha ha I just put these grabbers on went with 265/70/17 I may eventually go 285s but am happy with these fer now

 

Need #700 springs with that ARB bumpah!
