Anyone have any suggestions of a cool spot we can go float down a river with a cooler full of cold adult bevrages tagging along? Gonna have to be a tube rental outfit that'll pick us up though.

I can see where it would be a problem. We just want to take a sixer and relax but I'm sure there's plenty of a holes that get hammered and leave emptys and trash all over.

Serious? The Saluda! Put in at the zoo or Saluda shoalsmandnfloatmto the gervais street bridge!!! Zoo Putin is about a 3 hour float and Saluda shoals is about 4-4.5 depending on current. Right in your back yard. Let me know when you go!

Let me know if you decide to do the Saluda. Wal-Mart has well made rubber tubes with thick rubber that are perfect... $10.99.

So here is the deal... My brother in law and I (along with some friends) are planning a fish-n-float Saturday on the Saluda. We plan to put in at Saluda shoals and paddle up to the first rapid for some trout/small mouth fishing. After fishings tapers off in the heat we will paddle up to the dam, crack some beers and float back down. It will be a good time for sure. Plan on bringing a canoe or kayak. PM me for exact times as they have not solidified quite yet.

    Stock for now
May be a drive for ya but me and some buddies went up to Cherokee, NC two weeks ago and went tubing and hit up the casino. Awesome trout fishing (stocked weekly by the Cherokee folk with browns brookes rainbows and even palominos) plus the tubing outfit will indeed drop you off up stream and pick you up down stream (3 hour flout but can be longer if you choose). we took along a cooler full of adult beverages of course with no problem. It was only 10 bucks a tube to!!
