    Hypothetically speaking,

If a meet were to occur, what would be a good location? I mean I can do very light wheeling as im stock completely, but for everyone else what location would be good and would appeal those too who want to wheel a little?

My boss just took his landrover ( got it shipped from south Africa) to a place in NC i think.. and he tore the crap out of it.. so.. even if i knew the name of the place i probably wouldn't recommend it... its not uwharrie.. but was some fire access road... not that any of this really has anything to do with it..just sayin

Well, seeing as how I am going to miss the meet this year. Would anyone be willing to meet up around the low country in the January February time frame? or maybe a little later. Any suggestions?

So, I'll be in Charleston In February for a month and a half. What kind of things go on in that area? Are there any places I should go check out?

    neglect, mostly.
everywhere in charleston is fun. the women are beautiful, the liquor drinks are strong, and you get to bring your own beer to the full nude strip clubs.

it's the greatest city in the world. . . just try not to go broke is my advice.

10-4 haha. . . was just letting you know. . . there's tons of history in charleston though. check out the battleships, the battery, the market, do the touristy thing and go to Hymans Seafood. the charleston tea plantation is really cool too. it's the only place left in america that still grows tea plants. neat operation IMO.

    http://www.charlestonteaplantation.com/

boone hall plantation is really cool and pretty too.
    http://boonehallplantation.com/

the botanical gardens (for horticulture dorks like me) are really cool down there, but i doubt they'll be very impressive in February.

i'll let the locals guide you from here. this is all from someone who's only been there a few times...

check out the plantations (though you will have to leave chucktown to do so), take a carriage ride around town for some history, take the Fiance to King street for some shopping followed by cocktails and dinner (ton of good restaurants, SNOB, Rue de Jean, Coast, etc.), take a harbor cruise, if you like BBQ check out Kellys BBQ, its not in chucktown but is good and a local favorite, make sure you get some boiled pnuts, head out to Folly Beach for fun or Isle of Palms for more upscale. Have fun!
