I dont either. I was born up there and moved to florida when i was 5. Lived down there for 16 years and moved up to SC in January. Hopefully someone knows of some places to go. It would'nt be hard to find a national forest/park that allows vehicles. I just wouldnt know what trails to ride. I know one thing im way overdue for a Camping trip in the mountains!! And enjoying a few brews with fellow taco owners sure would be a good way to go about it.

[IMG]Biltmore Estate has 100+ miles of trails, some natural, some man made. They use some of them for the Land Rover off road driving school. I did this a few years ago.. I think, for a small fee, they will let private vehicles out on the trails. The video below is me getting the LR 4 On 3 wheels....

hey fellas, My gf and I are headed up to Asheville Nov 9-11 and was hoping to get some recommendations on some things to check out in the area. We will be in asheville around noon on friday, check out the Biltmore on Saturday and leave sunday late afternoon. Any good bars, restaurants, local spots to see?

You can walk across downtown in like 10-15 min but its packed with bars/resturants. I recommend a pub crawl following this route:

Asheville Brewing Co on Coxe ave for lunch/drinks (go for pizza and ninja porter) head down to Buxton and have a beer in The Prospect then next door try out the cask ale at Dirty Jacks (greenman brewing). Continue down buxton till you get to biltmore ave and go up to irish pub Hannah Flanagan's and get a pisgah black n tan (nitro stout and pale ale) then flounder across the street to Barley's and try out Catawba beers in the taproom upstairs. Now back across the street to have badass thai fusion at Doc Chey's with a glass of french broad wee-heavier scotch ale then stumble a block down biltmore ave to the Orange Peel where Lindsey Buckingham is playing Nov 11 sun night.

That will be a good sunday. Probably about a quarter mile of walking too. LOTS more good resturants/bars but these are all near each other.

There are a couple of guys in Knoxville. I just moved here from Raleigh, but I'd do a drive up for sure.
