My girls will probably be in tow. Won't be able to stay too late, the little one goes to bed around 1900 and we'll be driving down from Silver Spring, MD. I've my standard hand tools that stay in my truck, can also bring down a small bottle jack and a small floor jack. If I remember, I can also snag my good corded drill from my work truck. Bits are kind of a toss up, so if you need holes... Bring drill bits LOL. I have some small wire stuff, but you might need some slightly larger than what I have on hand, probable 14 or 16 gauge. Crimp connectors, heat shrink, I'll bring a multi meter with me, and we can probably wire the new lights up to your existing switch. Just gotta swap the pig tail over to the new wires. I think we have someone needs a bumper, and some other armor.. I need to drill two more holes for my driver side slider. Should be fun.

Cool, sounds good. Anyone have a preference of when you want to start? I think a nice lunchtime start (maybe all of us can bring things to eat / drink) into maybe the early evening. Just depends on how long PinkTaco can stand us

Lol, slider install.. For me it means two holes drilled and two bolts installed. I'd have done it yesterday when I did my license plate mount on the front, but I got lazy ok, truth be told, I had to change a diaper and then things just got hectic lol

I might be able to make it. Gonna have to check my schedule when I get home this evening. Haven't had a meet up with any other taco owners yet and this would be my first.

Ill chrck and see what the wifes schedule is like. If shes off I could probably come down and hang out. Only things I need to do are my retros but thats a work in (continuous) progress so I would just be around to bs and help out. Maybe i will dremel off a little of my inner fender to get rid of the rubbing. I would be one of the voices for the earlier the better since you never know what you will run into.
If needed I can bring:
3 ton floor jack
4 extended length jack stands
Cordless impact with metric and standard sockets
Torque wrench
Im sure theres other stuff i may have that could be useful so if there are any suggestions post up and see who can bring what.

I'd be up for around a 10 or 11 am start, so those driving from farther away don't have to get up at a ridiculous time to get to Nokesville (depending on when PinkTaco lets us get there ). Everyone want to just pitch in money and we can order pizza or something when we get there for lunch?

On another note, does anyone know how Freight deliveries work for a residential address? Would I have to go to a shipping center around here to pick up my bumper?

Matt

Nope they will call you and schedule a delivery. Then a very large 18 wheeler will proceed to take the entire road while offloading the bumper. There will most likely be only one guy so plan on helping him take it off the truck. Itll be strapped down to a large pallet.

Anybody have the ability to weld a new muffler on? Getting tired of seeing this Dynomax collecting dust in the basement.

Hey Matt are you planning on installing your OME coils and AAL at the meet too? If so, look around and check on renting a set of spring compressors. Unless someone has a set they could bring.
I also talked with SManZ and he said he would be interested in attending. He has a new AAL to replace a broken one.

I was planning on taking it to a shop within the next week or two so the lift could settle before I get the bumper. I would need an alignment, headlight adjustment, and I may ask them to do the CMC while I have it in there.

I am in, I will watch and help turn wrenches, I am mostly interested if someone installs a lift kit or front bumper, cause I want to do that some day

Ok cool. Headlight adjustment is pretty easy if you have the space to do it. I don't so I just had Toyota do mine last time I was in for inspection. Cost like $15 IIRC. I don't think you will need the CMC unless you plan on going with larger tires in the future. I think with the OME 885s you want to have them set the 5100s to the 0 setting, dont take my word for that though.

You will probably get to see lots of different lifts already installed as well and maybe that will help you figure out which one will work best for you when you decide to go that route.

Yep, it's 0'' for 885's. I was going to have them do the CMC for if I get 285's in the future, but I'm not sure if I'll get 255's like you or 285's. I'll probably just hold off so I don't waste $200 if I go with 255's and don't need it.

Well, hopefully my pizza cutters will be on by the mod day, you'll get to see them with the plate bumper and all too. That might help you decide. I don't need 285's myself. If and when I find myself wanting to go bigger, I'll suck it up and go 35's. Go big or go home at that point IMO.

Yep I've got the demello and 255s as well.
Matt-how much backspacing do your TRD wheels have? That will probably be the only big difference in how the 255s would look on mine compared to someone elses. I have 17x8 atx mojaves with 4.5bs. So if you have similar backspacing it should look the same, you will just have a little more sidewall than me if you stick with your stock 16 inch wheel size.

The TX wheels have 4.5 BS as well. I just haven't seen the 255's in person (didn't pay enough attention when I was at your house) I'll pay more attention to yours and Ronin's truck at the meet.
