    Hi Guys,

We're in the early stages of planning a relocation to NC. We're particularly endeared by the Knighdale area. Do you have any location advice?

We were up there last weekend and we'll be back next weekend to scout out areas and homes (new and existing).

I live on campus at State so I can't be of much help when knowing good places to move too. However, the only place in Wake county I personally would not live is in East Raleigh. Cary, Morrisville, Apex, and even the areas in North Raleigh are all really nice. Raleigh was voted the best place to live for a reason, you'll love it here!

Cary is insanely expensive, at least from looking at the active real estate listings. Yikes.

I live down on 55, between Durham and Apex. Renting is not too bad here, and I have a garage.

    neglect, mostly.
knightdale area is a good place to have your sights on. cary and raleigh themselves can be expensive and you'll be lucky to have a 1/16th of an acre or yard to enjoy all to yourselves. . . from knightdale you can shoot to raleigh on 264hwy fast, always. that is one BIG plus to knightdale. good place to live and never the bad raleigh traffic. 5 o'clock on a friday and you can still do 75 on 264hwy.

and keep that in the front of your mind. even 5 or 10 miles down 264 away from raleigh really isn't that big of a deal when you have such a sweet and unoccupied stretch of road to travel everyday.

ready for the bad part? here in the next year and subsequent years they are going to be doing major work on 440hwy (that big loop around raleigh). now that will suck and i presume will be part of you daily commute no matter what part of the wake county area you'll be living in . :sorry:
