2nd Annual Rod Run meet 4-20-13

sweet! hope you can come! and you just need the day off. meet is only the one day. but rod run it self is the friday thru sunday.

 

Yea, I typically work every other Saturday. Always off on Sundays. But the Saturday before, I'll be in Arkansas, so unless someone there needs to switch with me, I"ll probably be working that Saturday. Never can tell though. I'll let ya know as soon as they put my schedule up.

 

ok cool. and yeah just let me know. even if you can’t we will probably have the same meet at the fall rod run. I think it’s just going to be a semi big/big meet and greet that happens twice a year, the same two weekends every year.

 

Yea, I'm definitely gonna try to get to one of them. It's been a while since I've been to Rod Run.

Derrick I need to plan a trip down to oil blue ridge and go on a fishing trip with you and let you show me a thing or two. Do you fly fish?

yeah i kinda jumped. I thought it was just some jackass with train horns. but no. i think they were doing something because it was what 100 years i think and they had some big thing going on all weekend.

i’m going try and drive up their one day and see if the place we parked in the grass is still their and the same.(idk maybe they have built something who knows) if it has changed, i think we can park where i parked when i first meet you up their. i seam to remember there was a lot of parking left. and we could maybe get every one parked next to each other. It was some small shopping center.

 

That horn sucked. But 10 was a great time. I will definitely be there.

 

I have a buddy that has a big pig cooker Trailer/Grill. Would you guys be interested in having our own cook? I can get pricing and details from him if you all are interested. He lives in Boone so it's not too far for him to go.

 

yeah once it went off the 2nd time i new what it was. and yeah 10 was a good time.

Yeah get some prices. last year we talked about taking a small grill and doing hamburgers and stuff but it did not work out. I had one that would do 4 to 6 burgers but it stopped working a week or so before the meet.

 

Do we have solid numbers of who's coming? This will help him narrow it down for us. I let him know there was interest. I'll update when he get's off work.

 

I think the first post in thread is all updated on how all coming for sure and who may come.

But in all seriousness, I will give you a confirmed yes in the next couple of days. I'm not 100% sure if she'll be down for it...it's our 1st anniversary that weekend, soooooooooooo I'm not sure whether its a confirmed yes or not.
