Gonna be a good day around here! Going to pick up my son's new truck at 5pm. He's pretty excited(and pretty spoiled ) to be getting it. Getting a 2015 DCSB 4x4 Sport in black. I'll be building it pretty soon. We're gonna have a good time doing it together. I'm excited to share all the "truck stuff" with him. Good times!

only ones i've seen are just 3.5" or 4" from the spindles. can be combined w/ that OME for more...

i think they just drop where the hub bolts to the spindle to then push the wheel down, creating the lift. lowering spindles being the opposite.

    yarp...on tacomas at least.

EDIT: a key reason behind getting spindles on a prerunner is that it lifts and keeps stock alignment/ride w/o anything else needed (for the front at least).

By the way...I will be putting a drop bracket kit on my son's truck (I know, I know). Although I could do it, it's a lot of work. Do you guys know anybody you'd trust to do a job like that??

Stuff I Think Makes it Better
So, since I bought Scott's OME (thanks again, bud) before I go putting it on, coupld quick questions.

Diff drop, yay or nay? Read a lot of nays and almost equal yays....

    also rear shims...yay or nay?

Finally UCAs? I know the answer about UCAs, obviously yes, but w stock, is enough stress to make it work or is this something I should replace now and not wait the couple of years expecting it to break...

    Thanks :D

    Diff drop = no

Rear shims = only if you have vibes, they're easy to put in.

Stock won't break, you just might not get good alignment numbers. Depends on your definition of good. For 3" lift most people want as close to 3* caster, 0 toe, 0 camber as possible. I ran stock UCA's for a while and other than chewing up tires no issues.

no gains really to notice. i'm sure it does get better flow, but equals possibly more dirt particles through. i'd DD it before i used it offroad for the aforementioned reason.
