Had a shorter night than expected... found out that one of my freezers went down, so space is limited. Got 2 whitetails done as well as 1 mule deer and 1 elk. Ran out of room in the freezers. Oh well the hunt is on for another

I thought the elk were protected in nc? I seen a shitload (80 or so) on my way home to indiana, via cherokee, maggie valley
Edit: They were there at the homestead near the blue ridge mt exit.

 

I process them on the side during the season. none are mine

there are elk but no open season for them as of yet

All of these came from Colorado not from around here
