Count me out for the 12th. I'm running the Towpath Marathon in Ohio.

Been wanting to run Shoe Creek ever since I moved to Virginia. Never made it down while I had a 4x4. Now I'm running a new Pre-Runner -- is the trail 4x2 friendly (stock Dueler H/T tires)? Yeah, I know...too broke to swing the extra cash for 4x4, sorry guys...

Hmm, yeah. I could possibly make the Oct 12th meetup if that ends up happening. Meet some of y'all with 4x4s and tow ropes

We wont talk about that. im interested in going as long as the moneys okay. shouldn't be any snow/ice up here this time so it should be fun. is this the official thread? or is there another, and is the date officially the 12th of OCT?

I'll be going up on the 12th. Don't think there's anything official though, I can't head anything up since I won't be getting up there until after work on Friday evening.

Is anyone looking at coming up Saturday morning and leaving Sunday morning? Rather than get there at night, I don't want to be alone on the trails up to the first campsite.

The 1st campsite is right after you enter the tree's. Do you mean the 2nd after the steep crossing?

Hey guys. Sorry If I sound like a total noob here, but
I was doing a little searching online last night and hit on this thread. I went ahead and registered for the site. My GF and I have an 04 4runner and will be up
on the Shoe Creek trail this weekend. Oct 11-13. We had plans to camp at crabtree falls but that fell through.
We are first time 4wheelers but have a moderately modded truck. (Lift and tires) Should'nt be a hinderance to anyone. But would like to hook up with other Toyota drivers. Maybe camp in a group. Just looking to make friends, hang out and have fun. Mind if we tag along?
