I braved the perilous roads and actually went to work this morning.

 

No joke. I went through some serious slush. A few big puddles even. I was white knuckled, I won't lie.

However, appearently it was bad enough for the Fed Ex man, my seat covers were supposed to be delivered today, was notified no attempt made due to weather.

I'm just going to have everything sent to work from now on, Fedex, fedex express and fedex freight all made deliveries there today. And its right up the road from the house.

Edit: After I hit the submit button the dog let me know Fedex was here. Only one box, the back seat covers. Projects for this weekend while I'm at work.

 

I just got back from the Aviator smokehouse. That place is great!

That sounds like a fun project. I have always wanted do something like catskinz for my taco. I didn't even bother yesterday with the roads. I went out later but I'm switching jobs in a week and a half so my current employer has limited things for me to do.

 

Got the back seat covers installed and the new ultra gauge put in.

Strange acceleration lag/hesitation on Hills is still present after changing Trans fluid...

 

Really? Dang. I have no idea why that would be. Is it possible the weight of the fluid was too heavy? Like 10w instead of 5w? Or something like that.

 

Doubtful. I used Toyo ws fluid. I'm thinking at this point it's a clogged cat.

 

It's not a rumble strip sort of feeling is it? I mean like a hesitation/jumping feeling like you are driving over the rumble strip on the highway.

My old 4runner did that after the transmission was flushed. I never really figured out what caused it... read something about the torque converter locking up intermittently.

Just a thought. Hope it sorts itself out.
