There is this one near Asheville at Hurricane Creek. A nice easy trail ride and camp.

Not like you used to. Ft fisher is super cheap and awesome. On the beach is 30$ for a day pass, you're supposed to register to camp overnight on some magical website that isn't even up yet. Was just out there a couple weeks ago and chatted with the cops about all the changes they've made at Carolina beach/freeman park

I agree. Lets do this. You can stay overnight, you just have to park further back from the water up closer to the dunes. The biggest change i've seen is $$$. A normally cheap season pass has went up to $150 if you don't get it by Dec 15 for the upcoming year, otherwise then its only $75, but still. Now just a day pass is $30 i think. The North end is fun, but can get crowded. Fort Fisher(south end) is awesome, but easier to get stuck in since it's a longer trek out the the beach.
