That sounds good with me might have to see if we can get a local shop to sponsor a mod day or something like that. I dont know we will have to work on something.

Well I know I'm working Friday- Saturday and Saturday/ Sunday morning. Not sure about Sunday though.

Just got a call from Travis said he was crawling back to Harrisonburg since his hub was going bad. Good luck Travis.

    Still alive here, too...lol.

I haven't been sick, but Abbott is closing for the holiday this Friday so they're trying to work us all twice as hard to give us one day off, I think. Hopefully tonight'll be slower so I can have some internet-sit-on-my-ass time :D

I'd be down for something this weekend if anyone wants to grab a cold one or go camping. I will be busy on Saturday afternoon getting a lot of mods done at Haley though.

Might be a dumb question does a 2nd gen AAL fit a first gen?

It will work if it's the right length, I would look up the oem length for that leaf and see if it's long enough, if it is just cut it to length and put that end forward.

Does anyone have any experience doing 4runner lifts the front is just like ours but the rear is a whole different case. And hey Travis I have some 265 75 16 duratracs for sale only 15000 miles on them

I've done one 4runner lift and yes it is a whole different story and sometimes a pain in the ass.

isn't is just basically a repeat of the front? I've never actually looked at the rear end of one but it's just a coil spring on a strut setup isn't it?

and Luke, thanks but I'm looking to go to prob 285, maybe only 275 but I'll prob end up all the way

ALSO: my first BIG credit card bill is now in affect... friggin $300+ for new front hubs... guess it coulda been a lot worse though

so every time i hit a bump (even a manhole cover in the road) and I have the window down I can hear some sort of chain rattling noise and my suspension makes horrible squeaking noises anyway to solve this problem? or is it to stiff and just needs to settle? I've put about 1200 miles on the truck since lifting it.

Did you get it aligned? There are a few possibilities here.

    4Runners are multi-link rear, I believe. 3 link, IIRC.

Yeah i got it aligned 3 days after putting the lift on. And it's not a squeaking sound it's a rattle my SGT has a double cab and the same lift and ucas and his sounds the exact same. A guy that worked for toyota before joining the army installed his lift and we both got alignments at the same garage.

Did you get an AAL or the dakar leaf pack with your lift?

Where is your noise coming from front or back?

Just looked up a schematic/image of the rear end setup. It is, multilink, doesn't really look too hard to do a lift instal though depending on how crazy you're gettin. sense it's more like a jeep setup the shocks and coil springs are separate so there's no need for a spring compressor and other than changing those you MAY need longer link arms, like I said thought, that depends on how much lift you're doin

AAL. I'll have to look into it a little more by having the wife drive down a bumpy road and I'll walk/run beside the truck. The chain rattling sound could that be the chain on the spare tire to lower it?

Edit: it's coming from the front. I ran on the passenger side and didn't hear it then I ran on the drivers side and could hear it. From inside the truck sitting in the passenger seat with the windows down it sounds like both sides.
