Looking good, Travis! I'm stopping to eat at the Barrel in Harrisonburg around 5:30 to eat before I head up to WV. I'll have a buddy with me and might have an MM member, if you wanted to join.

I'm a crossroads right now. I have a good bit of money, but I want to save for the Miata or save for the school year, but I need/want

1)New skids all the way past the transfer case. I need protection and want to install my diff drop. Genuine concern with how I've been wheeling.

    2) A high clearance front bumper. Want somewhere to mount trail lights and give me more clearance in the front.

    3) To save for some nice tires. I think I'll keep my stock wheels because I like them and I'll save money. Thinking about getting some 285/76/16 duratracs and trimming to make them fit.

    4) Trail lights. If I could find a spot to mount them, I'd go buy some HarborFreight ones right now. They have some 100W lights that aren't half bad. Just wire in a relay and go on. I just have no clue where to mount them. I don't want to drill in my bumper, and there's really not much space for them behind the grill. They'd also be halfway blocked since I have the stock 01-03 grill.

    5) Longer rear shocks and bump stops. Like has been pointed out, the OME leaves don't need new bump stops, so I should be okay, but I'd like to be sure.

TPMS question for the 2nd gen guys (or whoever knows), how long should it take for the TPMS light to come on since they are now off the truck? The only one still on the truck is the spare.

Taylor: skids or bumper. Protection is always a plus and the tires you have now are pretty good. I'd wait for them to be worn before you replace them. On a side note, I MAY have a connection for you on a cheap miata in ok condition that's 100% stock.

Cory: lights should be immediate, if it's not on then it's not working but you probably don't care if you don't have the stems in... Are you planning to swap the stems over to the new wheels?

Well hell. nah im not swapping them, leaving them in the stock tires. good to know they don't work though.

Another question, I seem to see more threads pop up lately about 2nd gens being stolen. Can anyone recommend an alarm system? I've been looking into Viper, not sure if that's something I can order off Amazon and install myself or might have to wait until I get stateside.

Taylor: I'll talk to you tonight but that sounds perfect, my buddy won't be back from Hawaii till the end of this month anyway.

Cory: in my opinion, there's about 2 good options for theft prevention: live in a safe area or install your own security system. The reason for the second has a few parts 1. If you buy a system there's ALWAYS ways around them that anyone can look up and learn with a little work, and two they're expensive. There's a thread in here on how to do a DIY trcking system for about a $100 if I remember correctly and installing a hidden kill switch can be done with only a little effort and the benefit is that no one can just look up how to route around it. I saw one once where the switch was BARIED (but not hard to get to) and the wiring for it was done so well that it looked 100% stock. With that method you'd need a wiring diagram on hand to figure out what to wire back together even if you could bypass the ignition without the key.

Yea you missed the whole party and the search for you last night.

Didn't get the brake decal put on since I forgot I had aftermarket lights I had to get new dimensions and what not so have to wait again but I'm sur it won't be too long. Working a long weekend of probably 3 12 hr shifts but hopefully get the light mocked up this weekend.

TPMS sensor finally came on. My roof rack is taking a little longer because the guy redesigned it. It looked great with the old design, but now it looks even more badass. Heading to Prague today to check out the zoo and eat at Hooters. The currency exchange makes me feel rich, $1 = 20 czc. Granted the zoo admission is 200czc = $10.

I just got back from Prague. Got chased by some bird in a walk in bird cage and attacked by bats in one exhibit. Ate at Hooters. Went down to Old Town Prague (downtown) and walked around, rode on a segway for the first time, and got approached by some guy who said "Weed?" (I'm still not sure if he was trying to ask me if I wanted to buy some or if I was selling some. I'm gonna assume he was asking if I wanted to buy some). Then we walked across the Charles bridge, the same bridge in Mission Impossible. All in all a great day.

Truck related, I need to do some trimming. Have some rubbing at full lock when reversing.
