Got some Greasable Shackles from Wheelers. Hopefully getting my license back on Monday and going to a shop on 460 to get a price on an install. I left my brake line in Harrisonburg, which sucks, because I could have asked them to throw that on there too. I'll be glad to get rid of the squeaking and be done riding on a sketchy shackle held on with a cross threaded nut.

Still have some awful driveline vibes and I need to get my front springs. Also, I have a few people wanting to wheel Shoe or GWNF since I'm getting my license back. I'll keep everyone updated. I haven't wheeled in forever and not since my lift. Things have been too hectic.

Nice, let me know. I haven't been on here very much in the past few months either. But I may be down to wheel soon!

That reminds me. I think I'll get new tires with my tax return. I'm thinking I DON'T want something TOO nice. No need to blow $1000 on killer tires when I don't wheel as often as I'd like. I'm thinking about something in a 265/80/16 (33x11.5/16) or something.. Any suggestions?

Would a 285/75/16 fit on my truck?

So far I'm LOVIN my general AT2's... Plenty aggressive for anything you'll be doing, not particularly expensive and come with,I believe, a 50,000 mile rating? They're just a touch noisy buttering as they're an aggressive tread I expdcted that.

In terms of size and going to a 285, I'd imagine you'll have to trim some stuff to make those fit at full flex, which I recognize you don't get too all that often but it means (as I found out quickly) you'll catch things when you go through drainage culverts turning into parking lots... Not that it can't be done by any means but just expect to have to do some extra work. I'd say to know for sure ask someone like Box Rocket who's in a 1st gen and has experience with larger tires.

Also keep in mind that being in college you're on the road a fair amount, the larger tire is going to throw off your speedo and odometer as well as afect you milage some.

Yeah, It's hard to find 33's in a 10.5 inch wide tire. I would prefer those.

Got my OME greasable shackles put on today for only $90. The bushings still squeak because I guess I didn't put enough grease around them when I put them in the leaves. I'll post a picture soon. Very happy with them so far.

Don't think they make one in a 15.

255/70/17 is pretty cool too. In MT flavor it's pretty capable and doesn't rub a bit.

Tis true. And bigger brakes so we can't put on the 15" doughnuts.

That, and I want to fit with ZERO rubbing and not have to cut too much. Plus, cheaper tires, less unsprung weight, and less tire hanging out on the sides to ruin my paint, etc.
