Ah, OK. So they were actually talking about fixing the issue, rather than just throwing in a new aluminum housing that will get messed up again.

I've heard of people getting the Toyota dealer to go ahead and install that while they have the trans dropped.

If they just give you a new aluminum bellhousing, the steel bearing is still going to mark it up.

 

well i wouldnt be able to make the 21st but if we could do the 28th i could just about commit to that. (as long as everyone stays healthy) plus my wife said if we were going to hit the skyway again she would like to go too. so like i said if we did the 28th then we could meet down there early saturday morning and make a day out of it.(not too early if the wife is coming but hopefully before lunch)

got some clear corners put on today.

 

I couldn't do the 28th. My daughters birthday party is on the 28th. It's also my father's birthday. Will be a busy weekend for me.

 

tear tear guys! seems like my truck is not liking that bill is taking it apart. hopefully it will be ready soon. i miss it sooooo bad!! but i got mats truck running a little better by gutting out the catalytic converter. not 100% better but it def had more power. so i drove that for a little bit last night and that eased the pain of not having my truck. haha but bill is still doing great job with it and I'm glad he hasn't kicked it out yet!! haha. THANKS BILL!!!!

 

21st or 28th would be ok for me if we meet up around noon then my wife could go

Well some good news. After breaking my 12 ton shop press on your truck, and destroying two bearing separators, I have your right side pressed back in after buying a new 20 ton press! It will be installed tomorrow, and I am looking at being able to do the rear as well, hopefully by tomorrow evening. If all goes well, I should have your truck finished and ready for pick up by Thursday. How does that sound?

 

Damn these Tacoma's are tough!

 

Yea it may be running better but the knock sensor is making the problem. I have a gut feeling that is what is killing it right now.... Going to save up and get it done.

Always cool when you get new tools. That's usually what it takes to get the new ones unfortunately.
