Got home this evening and was walking around in the yard. Heard this horrible screeching noise from the side of the house. Walked over to where my AC systems are and the upstairs unit was screaming like a bitch. Flipped the outside power breaker for it and it shut up. Gave it a few minutes, flipped it back on, everything started running. Walked in the house and went upstairs, 91`. Walked back outside and the unit was screaming again. Looks like the fan motor is cooked. Waited for the sun to go down and the system to completely cool down. Started the system up and it ran for 4 minutes before the fan thermally shutdown again. Looks to be about $60 bucks before shipping. Going to see if I can pick one up locally tomorrow. At least it is the upstairs unit and not the downstairs system.

Also talked to my brother today. He is the one who hit the cow in his Mustang. He hit a dog Thursday night and creased his front bumper. He has no luck with this car.

or just let up on his right foot occasionally and give himself a lil more time to react??? who knows it might work, although the car does sound a lot better with that right foot extended.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
copperhead, drought has brought him out. I'm going to guess you have a hose bib on that wall, or an adjacent wall.

There's a hose pipe on the wall kinda around the corner from where he was. You can kinda see the threshold for the door (silver) and the corner that the brick makes with the door. The doorway is set in like 4' from the front of the house. The hose pipe is on the front of the house about 8-10' down from the entry way.

Our pest control folks are coming this afternoon to put out some sort of traps and some chemical that's supposed to keep them away. With a daughter that's crawling these days, I'm not taking chances. (yeah, I realize we have to keep her out of the chemical as well, but still)

Gotta say, I kinda wish I'd had a big cinder block to drop on it or something. Having that thing where my wife almost stepped on it this morning scares me a bit.
