Good lord Matt, enough with the fruit! lmao.

I am saying that either way I go, I will not be as tall as David, as far as total ground clearance. Yes, I know he does not have an overhead bar. Yes I know that an overhead bar can snag small branches. There is NOWHERE ELSE I can install this light bar besides on the roof. It is too long for the new front bumper, or to sit behind the grill, and I am not about to install it on the hood. It just looks stupid in my opinion. Sure, in hindsight I should have looked at the shorter bar, but I wanted the light output from the 32. Eventually I will be building a bed cage, and then the roof bar will go away at that point anyway.

I'm about to slap the pi$$ outta you! Hahaha.

And actually it will be a much lower profile assembly when I get done. The one I will be building will ride about an inch above the cab, and the LED bar will be mounted in the front. It will be about as low as you can get with an LED lightbar. Of course this bed cage is a good year or more away. That is why I went ahead and got a light bar.

Yes, I have both. Not sure what you have in mind though.

I see a good 2.5-3" that could be cut out and welded back at a lower profile if need be.

If I wanted it lower, I would have bought the Carr Low Profile bar. I got the Rota because I can mount another bar on the bottom, and then be able to rotate the bar down so that the LED bar is safe from rocks and such on the highway. Not to mention the assembly is aluminum, and my welder is a MIG, not a TIG.

I took these the other day, but wasn't able to get them posted up. The first pic is of the system in off-road position. The second and third pics are in "highway" position. Because of the length of the brackets, which can't be shortened any, the bar is not able to go into a full 90 degree rotation, but still, it keeps the LED bar from getting damage from highway "debris" that can fly up.

I am waiting on some new wire to do the wiring. I ordered some custom cable, like they use to install small amplifiers. I like the fine strands because it conducts electricity well, and is much more flexible than regular wire.
