Cool thanks for the info! Preferably I'll be staying away from college kids, though the reason we're moving is my girlfriend got accepted to their masters program so we'll want to be somewhat close.
As long as there's some dirt to play in im good. As it is now closest place is 2 hours away but that's a small park everywhere else is minimum 4 hours.

Girlfriend will be going to school there. As it is right now I haven't really looked at work other then craigslist, but I've got time before the move.

Just checked the commute time in those, definitely doable, much better then my commute time now.

In definitely getting excited, I've been wanting to get it off this place for too long.

Thanks again for the info guys.

Another question, I need new tires and had been thinking about the cooper maxx, would that be a decent tire for wheeling in Alabama?

I like my BFG AT KO2 a lot (the new all terrain)

then there is the BFG MT KM2 mud terrain

also, the GoodYear Wrangler DuraTrac is another good one

    All popular choices around TW

Shameless plug for the local guys:

Selling some excellent condition factory TRD Bilstein HD front shocks and factory TRD front coils

    Buy/Sell Listing

Fits 2005-2015 Toyota Tacomas. These were freshly removed off my brand new 2015 TRD Off-Road Tacoma with less than 1000 miles on them. Shocks alone retail for over $100 each.

K02s are on my list. As well as km2s but I discount tire was running a deal on tires and they don't have the size I want. I've got a set of duratracs, blew a sidewall on a rock that shouldn't have, otherwise they are a good tire.

What kind of offroading is available? I keep seeing mud.

There's plenty of rocks if you come up here! Think loose dirt/rock trails and throw in some roots.. It's fun forreal just gotta watch for those trees cause they'll get ya!

Check out bamaoffroadgroup.com.. We have a pretty good group and rides planned for months in advanced!

And pretty much and MT tire will perform pretty good offroad here.. That heavy fatty red clay that TacoFMS (Brian or Dave? Can't remember) mentioned really doesn't like BFG A/Ts or any A/T for that matter.. And C'mom who doesn't like the roar of a M/T?

FWIW, I'll be going with a MTR W/ Kevlar when I get new tires!

    Awesome thanks!

Haha my truck in no way is quiet as it is!

It had been between MTRs and km2s but a few guys on here suggested against them for a did. I think I'm gonna pass on the discount tire sale and wait till I find some km2s.

Yeah I've heard, yeah I'm not happy about it. Im a cold weather person,I for sure will never get used to it.
