Battle Born Tacomas!

Wasn't really getting the response I wanted with the last thread I put this in, so I decided to start a new one. I want to make a decal for all the Southern NV members, so this is what I came up with. Too much? Any and all criticism or suggestions are welcome. I see this as a rear window decal. BTW, I didn't come up with "Battle Born Tacomas". Great idea though, so I ran with it.

Nevada is the Battle Born State, as it became a state in the midst of the Civil War.

Also, the decal will be in white or silver. Just imagine the colors of the image inverted.

 

Yeah, that was Murdered_Out_Tacos idea, but I don't think he got much support on that, if I'm not mistaken. Personally, I like this better. I think "Sin City" is played out, and Battle Born can encompass all of Nevada if need be.

the battle born i think is a good idea, i do agree the sin city is played out alot. but idk about the "banner" flag style thing. n maybe a different approach on the firearms. i mean, nothing against guns (wish i had an m16) but im just saying. im trying to think of some ideas too. will post.

 

I'm not a NV resident, but was attracted by the name and decal. Play off the "Taco" concept and put a Taco holding a gun with a bite in it. The way it currently looks is awesome, but it does strike a high militia tone.

Clearly just my $.02 but hopefully I at least instilled some creativity. Best of luck, gents!

 

Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah, this really was just off the top of my head. Took me about an hour to make, so it can be easily worked with. I understand what you guys are saying about the banner. Truthfully, I took it right from the Nevada State Flag. However, it is a little much. Also, on second thought I may not go with the M16s. That might not work very well with my job. However, I plan on making a few of these if people show interest, so maybe I'll keep them on one of the versions if people like them.

 

just an update for VegasTaco08 (Austin): i got some fonts/designs kinda mapped out. im still trying to get an idea for a "symbol" whether it be a truck or guns or what have you. I'll post or pm as soon as i can. just hope they turn out ok.

 

I like it I think the Clip/Mag (whatever you want to call it) is a little to long though. Besides that it is sweet IMO

 

I'll be in vegas in march might have to meet up, maybe you can show me the good places.

Oooo designing. Not a nevada resident but I can toss in some ideas and sketches if ya want....I gotta shake the graphic design cobwebs off.

Some of my thoughts:

The newer design which incorporates the vegas sign still looks too busy and crowded to be a club our window sticker.

For this I'm picturing big focused letters used in abbreviation outlined by the full words.

You'll want to pull attention and curiosity to the design, which will make good want to look at it. The other two are a little much to capture focus because they seem all over the place. And honestly they might just look like some normal race sticker with the banner and all or a cliche vegas sticker with the Vegas sign.

Think BIG but compact.

 

Win O and by the way i was not the one that wanted to use the sin city thing it was a POLL! So Screw you guys!
