FatBobs is a good business. The owner Bill is a fellow Tundra owner so I had them build me some rock sliders. I didn't even think to mention them to you as I know they are very fair on labor.

$75/hour for labor. Was just there this evening talking about some lift options.

That's great to hear and glad I went with a good choice. Without question the lowest bid I received for the install and from pics on their site seems like they do a ton of work on all types of trucks, including Tacoma's/Tundra's. So def happy with that route.. Plus I was able to get it in this week, which is awesome cause I'm heading on a camping trip Saturday morning. So get to test the new kit out on some dirt!!

I'm hoping the choice I went with fits my needs. Did a ton of research and this was the best I could do based on current budget. I hear the Eibach coils are a bit stiff, but I'm sick of the stock SR5 suspension being sooo bouncy. And not to mention the added load capacity with the rear HD AAL. So pretty stoked and know it'll be a hell lot better than the stock..

RMAN808, I see you went with the Treadwrights as well? How you liking them? Have a set of 265/75/16 Warden's coming tomorrow. Pretty excited and hear a lot of good things about the tires they produce..

Awesome man! Sorry if I missed it, but what lift setup did you decide to go with? I'm still debating which route I wanna go and am hoping to get mine done in the next couple weeks or so.

As for the Treadwrights, so far so good! I like em a lot on the pavement so far. They are pretty heavy though but I have the guard dogs. Can't wait to get lifted though :D I rub just a little with my 265/75.

I went with Bilstein 5100's front & rear w/ eibach coils (front billies set to 0" for 1.6") and the Wheeler's HD Progressive 1.5" AAL in the back. I have a 2nd gen so a bit different application than your 1st gen.. But love the look of your truck man!! And going to get even better w/ the lift.. Good luck on the research and hope it all works out well.

And glad to hear you like the Guard Dogs.. I almost went with those but drive to Park City every day for work in the winter so the added siping on the wardens was my choice for the snow packed roads on I-80. The mud terrains weren't quite what I needed.. Love the look of the guard dogs, and hear they handle great off road!

Nice! That's one of the options I was considering except the 1st gen version. Did you get all the parts on your own and just getting it installed at Fat Bobs? Or are you ordering and installing everything thru them?

I ordered the components online and a having them do just the install. Got the Bilstein 5100 package at Down South Motorsports for $309 shipped, highly recommend them, great service & fast.. The Eibachs from Toytec $179 w/ TW discount and the AAL from Wheelers Off Road $179. Overall saved a bit of $ going this route..

Hey everyone, I'm moving to SLC the weekend of July 20th from Ohio. Hope to see some of you guys around! Looking forward to the change in scenery, but not the 30 hour drive to get there that's for sure!

Hello gentlemen, thought I'd introduce myself in here. I've had my tacoma for a few months now but haven't really gotten involved in the utah toyota community thus far. I'm a student at the U, going into my sophomore year, and I've quickly fallen in love with Utah haha. I'm originally from GA, which is where I am now for the summer. It's a looooong 35 hour drive each way, but the taco handled it perfectly! looking forward to getting involved in the community here!
