That sounds like a great plan Dev. We can even make it a weekend after school starts if it doesn't work out before I go back to work.

My schedule is just packed for July and August will have me in WY for the trip blackdawg is organizing. Then I help the wife nest for the second baby and I report back to school on the 18th, but still have to move my stuff from One classroom to another. We will find a weekend though, would it have to be a weekend or does the wife have time off during the week sometimes?

Only Sean and his brood?! I think Aaron is going to come up for at least a day trip. He has no truck or tent I may need to persuade him to sleep on the floor so he can imbibe like I know he wants to.

Yeah I have several tents and air mattresses, even a few extra sleeping bags. The bags I don't know much about, they came with the cabin.

Who all is coming for the cabin fiesta? July 19-21
    1. Sean and fam
    2. FunPolice
    3. Rucas
    4.
    5.

If you come, bring camping gear and something to contribute (food, drink, or cash-but would prefer the food or drink). Please let me know what you are bringing. I am planning on having people from whatever time they feel like showing up on Friday, but I need to leave the cabin by late morning on Sunday.
Carm and I will be cooking one night but other than that we will probably just use the grill to keep the cabin cooler.

What other activities are out there to give us an idea of what to bring.
Fishing, Hiking, bears shitting, drinking, geocatching, snipe hunting, strip clubs, swimming?
Or Travis' favorite.... the legendary psychoactive Colorado River Toad.

Why you gotta steal my thunder?! I was gonna bust out the toads when nobody was looking!

Fishing for sure. You need a license or pay $32 (ridiculous) to fish in one of the private lakes/ponds I have access to.

Camping is close for anyone who wanted to stay somewhere else :notsure: there are places to camp and shoot too so that's fun.

Wheeling will definitely go on, probably Saturday. We can do Kelly Flats, sevenmile and then explore the deadman trail network.

Bears will be shitting, feel free to take that in whatever direction you choose. Ill be toad hunting during those shenanigans.

I don't think swimming is an option, but if anyone brings a small boat or canoe (no combustion engines) you can take that out in several places.

I love hiking around up there, right off my property is several thousand acres of forest land with some cool balancing pieces of granite that are fun to climb around on.

I will certainly be drinking, that rarely leads to stripping anymore but after the kids go to bed, again, you all can do what you like. This is 'Merica and the mountains to boot.

Any other ideas or suggestions, let me know. I will have a few extra chairs but people should bring camp chairs. I will have the horseshoe pit ready (hopefully) and am looking into a paddle boat or canoe, but likely wont happen by then.

Whew, that's all for now. Tapatalk is not made for messages like this.

If you decide to spend the $32 to fish in crystal lakes (private) you will not get skunked. I got several keepers in just an hour at a couple different spots. It is well stocked

So with the fishing part... I need a license. Can I get those at Big 5? (That's where we would go in CA)

And when you say the lake is private, does that mean that I need to pay that $32 for the lake and have my license?
