Here's the details on that crash:

There's another crash site on Crystal mountain west of Ft. Collins. It was an airliner in that went down in the '50s.

FYI, plane crash trail is tight...got my first body damage on that trail from slipping off a wet rock into a tree..didn't take much

and there is a section near the end that gets REAL tight...

so if there's a good amount of snow up there, my $.02 would be to save the plane crash til the summer...

edit: saw you were talking about snow shoeing back there...if you can follow the trail to the end, it's to your right and down the hill a bit...it's a NE facing slope, so snow depth will still be deep in the area where the crash is...

Thanks for the info Bob! I'm looking forward to Bunce School road... and no snow shoes so I'll have to go back for the wreck this summer.

Hey man most of these trails I've already been up and I was doing most of it in my stock 2011 TRD sport. I'm gonna be putting a 3" lift on Saturday which will be plenty for most of the trails we'll be hitting up. Do you have some decent tires? Or are you running slicks?

I think you'll be ok, if you get stuck we'll have more than enough vehicles to get you through/out. but I don't anticipate anything too bad especially on Bunce from all the reports I've read.

Ya you should be good then. Like I said I took my stock sport up through Ironclads already and some of Bunce. I haven't been up miller yet, but I know there's no snow, just big..ish rocks, but with the lift you'll be good.

We're heading up to Ironclads, Bunce school Rd. and Miller Rock. This will be going down on Sunday. Meeting information has already been posted, but if you can't find it let me know and I can repost it.
