    Stuff, that thing, more stuff.
If I can, I'll usually book flight and hotel through Travelocity or another site, it usually works out to save at least a few dollars, just make sure you put some extra effort into it and you can find some decent deals, they're just usually not advertised.

So we are looking at staying at the Luxar in the tower deluxe room from Sat - Fri. We were wondering what we should pack to wear to the shows?

When we went with a couple friends, we made a night of it. The guys wore suits and the girls wore nice dresses. Dinner first, then show, then the floor

Na' you don't need a suit for most places out here. A button down shirt and pants that aren't jeans work fine.

Never stayed at the luxar but I know the Blue man group is in the Venitian. Make sure you see the Billagio water show. And whenever paying for anything ask of they have military discount. Most do have one. And most important thing is make sure you have enough money to have a good time.

Yeah, I just want to make sure if we go, I want to have a "Vegas" experience. I don't want to go and stay in a room that is equivilant to what I could get around here. I did hear that it was at the end of the strip though. Do you recommend to be in the middle of the strip?

Yeah, we have about $5k saved up for the entire trip. Flight and hotels is looking to be around 1500-2000. So that will leave 3k for food and fun!

I just stayed at the Aria last month and I was blown away. It's right in the middle of the stip. the bed was WAY better than my own bed. The room, the view, the bathroom, and the technology was out of this world. It was like 100 bucks a night. It's only like a year or 2 old. Highly recomended..

Ok, so our flight is booked as well as our hotel. We are staying at the Vdara and staying in a delux suite. We will have about 3k to blow while we are there. I have enough ruffies to have a blast, as well as plans to buy lots of Romen to eat if we end up blowing it all on the first night. Thanks again for all your help!

Be sure to check out Freemont Street at night. They have a great laser light show and the people watching can't be beat! Plus, it's free!

One thing that was briefly mentioned above is the walking. LOTS of walking. It's the best way to see the strip, but definitely puts some miles on your feet. The distance from one end of the strip to the other can be deceiving. That and the fact that the resorts themselves are much bigger than you might think. I used to work on the strip and every night see women carrying their shoes (inside the resort) because, even though their high-heels looked good, they just couldn't put up with that much stomping around. Might want to let the missus know to pick her evening wardrobe accordingly.

One place to get a good, cheap meal is at the Ellis Island casino. It's about a block off the strip at roughly the midpoint. Just look up the Super 8 there as it's attached to that. The hotel itself is a shithole, but the restaurant's good.

The best Bang for your Buck location to stay at is FLAMINGO Hotel and Casio. It's pretty much in the middle of the strip and is in walking distance to everything to see. My Uncle usually get's comp'd rooms because of his player's card, but I've seen deals for $79/night. It's not the best looking hotel, but the location is perfect.

One of the major issues in Vegas that always pisses me off is driving the strip in Vegas. Seriously, park your truck and don't think about moving it for your entire stay. People ignore the cross walk sign and you can really run someone over, plus parking in the hotel is a PAIN. My truck only has the TSB lift and my antenna hits the support beams on the ceilings of some of the parking structures.

I would only drive to Fremont street because parking is ample in the structures and lots, DURING THE DAY. Forgetta 'bout it at night.

Go to the Aria, Bellagio, Vencian, pretty much see the sights. Crystals shopping mall is awesome. The 3 story chandaller in Aria is awesome, the seasonal atrium in the Bellagio is awesome, the 2 story chocolate fountain in Bellagio is awesome, the 3 story water fall in Palazzon is awesome. There is a lot of awesome things in Vegas.

I recommend seeing Viva Elvis at the Aria. One of my favorite shows in Vegas. Buy the tickets at the box office and ask if they have any deals. I have found I have gotten the best prices at the box office. Usually give you upgraded seats for regular price.

I got burned out on Vegas. I went every weekend for 2 months, and I still go seasonally, just to get away, but the town as a lot to offer.

lived in vegas for 13 years, went to strip twice a month.all the main action is between tropicana blvd. andflamingo rd.Vdara isgreat location with class. For me, MGMgrand sucked, old and skanked.Cosmopolitan on weekend nites so cool(just north of Vdara on same side of road) free bands in lounges there, as there is at new york new york, planet hollywood, bellagio, monte carllo, venetion, mirage and a few others. used to be free music at most casinos but entertainment tax started few years back killed alot of free lounge acts, very sad.You need good music piped in or live to offset the negative atmosphere of people losing their life savings.Harrahs has lots of (3 i think) live bands on weekends.Eating and drinking is pricey on the strip. get rental and drive south of I-215 on Vegas blvd. and everything is real cheap. i loved living in vegas, 4-wheeling and mountain biking galore, and everywhere you look. 15 miles west is red rock, 20 miles east is Valley of Fire, 20 miles south Hoover Dam and Colorado River. I want to move back so bad but no building going on.E-mail me @ curlybill56@hotmail.com with phone number and will talk more
