Everyone on mud says powderpig is the guy to do it! Sounds like a nice rig.

I'm gonna start working on my 92 3FE 80 tomorrow!

Did he happen to have some of my skids and sliders on his truck? I know of a guy down there that picked up some armor from me.

Your truck is starting to look good lifted/wheels/tires

Very cool. Yes, Robbie (Powderpig) is the 1FZ guru. If I had another 93-97 LC/LX wouldn't hesitate to call him in a second to work on it.

How's your 3FE on power? I know the FJ80s are a tank and it needs all the power it can get.

Thanks. Saw quite a few double cab tacomas on the way out and even fewer with toppers. Secretary at work says only old people put those on, guess I'm old.

Saw a couple nicely lifted trucks in Fernley, think one was silver, but not sure.

I'm back in Freakmont for the next few weeks as I dream about when my truck will actually arrive. Dealer is trying to get a sand/beige/tan interior for mine, but is highly doubtful that he will be able to pull it off.

Guilty as charged about the topper. But I've always had one on my trucks for the last 25 years.
A ton of Tacos in Ferntucky (my guess is 1 to 2 dozen live within a mile of me) but not many lifted. Someone around here has a nice lifted silver one with a snorkel that I see from time to time (don't think he's a member).

Well it runs but it dumps oil so I actually haven't driven it at all. Previous owner had no idea what was wrong with it, he just told me his mechanic said it needed all new seals and needed rebuilt. He also told me when it warms up it makes a "terrible rusty noise". I picked it up super cheap so whatever, plan is for a 5.9 cummins anyway. Be nice to have it running in the meanwhile.

I found that a plug for an oil galley in the head has disappeared and so it dumps out of the head at an alarming rate. I'm not sure if he lost all the oil before he noticed something was wrong or if he saw he was losing oil pressure and shut it down. Hopefully he didn't spin a bearing or anything else. I've got good compression on all cylinders at least.

So I need to drill and tap it for a thread plug (factory is aluminum pressed) but had to pull a lot of coolant hoses and the valve cover and need to pull out a head bolt. It's in a hard to get to place tight up against the firewall naturally. At least it's nothing major. So far anyway.

Fortunately in general these 3FEs are spectacularly solid, reliable, and simple to work on.

Ive seen alot of pre tacos that looked super bitchin..a big red one and a blue one that looked about the same year (mayyyybe 83) lol the red one was behind me on main street. Ive seen the blue one everyday and one day it was parked in the scolaris parking lot by the bank.

Then after i left the taco stand I was behind a silver newer taco that had a black back bumper and black fenders. I wasnt trying to follow them but we went around the round about and down fremont and luckily I had to turn down granada haha. I hate when i accidently follow people unintentionally.
