Pretty easy, I'm pretty well settled in. I'm over here by the Newmont office. Trying to find things to occupy my time. Where all these Elko babes I keep hearing about?!

Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone in Northern Nevada has a set of TSB rear springs or Non- Off Road 4 leaf springs they'd like to unload? I'll pay a fair price...

I'd like to try these for a while before moving onto something more serious... Thanks, PM me or post here with info.

Got home yesterday after spending 5 nights up at Kingston campground. It was my first time there and (other than the gully-washing rain/hail/thunderstorms three of the days) it was awesome! NDOW planted 2000 rainbows between the lake and the pond in Kingston on June 12th. I thought I might have to use bait to catch them, but I was nailing them with this 1/8oz gold Kastmaster-

I had other folks fishing reatively close using both flies and bait and I was doing better than any of them. I brought nightcrawlers with me, but never even took them out of my tacklebox. I did all my fishing early in the morning (before the sun hit the lake and made it hot out) from the dam end of the lake. There were too many yahoos with loud kids and loose dogs at the other end.

This was also my first time seeing the Toiyabe range out there and I was impressed. Beautiful scenery and tons of wildlife roaming around. Unfortunately now I'm back down where it's hot as hell, but I'll definitely be heading back up there again before summer's over!

This is looking up the canyon from the hillside above camp. The campground is concealed in the bright green treees at the bottom of the ravine-

And here's one of Bosco relaxitating in the cool grass. He isn't too thrilled about being back to where its hot now either, but I'm sure he is glad to be out of the storms (or at least I'm glad to not have to deal with him freaking-out over the thunder anyway)-

Cool! Did you go up and over into big creek? That's a pretty fun trip. We camped in the big creek side about a month ago. I really like that mtn range, but don't spend near enough time down there.

I was going to go over from Big Creek, but decided to drag a trailer with me. I haven't seen it, but have been told the switchbacks on that road are not exactly trailer-friendly so I crossed over on 50 then dropped down to Kingston.

How is the other campground to stay in? I only chose the Kingston side because of the lake.

Good call, the switchbacks at the top aren't trailer friendly. The other campground is ok, a little more dusty, and less trees. There are a few nice spots above the camp ground though. Good creek fishing on both sides.

Good to know, thanks! I've only been living in this end of the state for a few years so I'm still learning what's where.

Hey guys got some questions for anybody in the area. Going to be coming into the Reno/Sparks area around the 4th of August for a few days and looking at places to stay. Any places you would recommend? Also might be looking at places to rent. What are some good locations. Thanks

I would look at holiday inn or the equivalent for cost effectiveness, as for renting a place, I would suggest the outskirts. Spanish springs, damante ranch, galena, northwest( Robb drive area)
