    I know you can't just cut out the cat and if you do you need a O2 fouler so your truck runs right I think they are around $200. This is because you have a O2 sensor after the cat. But you should be okay to run it for a while.

    I have an issue with the truck. For the last three weeks exactly a week apart. I get a cel. Take to to the mechanic and he says it's the maf gets gunked up and cleans it. Wtf is going on with my rig.

    What code is it throwing? Some CEL's are not immediate (MAF being one of them). It takes a certain amount of of time or repeated situations before the CEL actually is activated. Those can normally be read as pending codes.
