Slaughterhouse Gultch? I ran that about 3 weeks ago. Got a little snow while out there, and the initial descent was snow covered and thus pretty hairy (especially where the boulder sticks out on the passenger side of the trail). Overall it was great though!

Would anyone be interested in making a run there or another area within the next few weeks?

It depends on if you're in a hurry or not. I got in a bit of a hurry due to the snow and that there's a bit of a climb out, so I didn't want to linger and let the climb out become more than my stock tires could handle. On a quick run you should be looking at right around an hour, maybe a hair over. If you take your time and enjoy some of the spurs and optional lines you can draw it out for a couple of hours.

As indicated in the upcoming thread, went up to Slaughterhouse yesterday for a quick lap. I wasn't overly impressed with this trail; not very scenic, very mild offroad action, very quick. Most of the trail was just a mellow dirt road with water bars and 2 large hills (one up and one down). The hill going up did have some more difficult lines, I took the hardest line I could and walked right up, and my truck is not that built. Most of the trail could have been done in 2wd, except for the hills, a stock truck would be lot of fun though. Anywho, took some pics, and it was nice to get out on a trail regardless.

Trailhead airing down and stashing the bike:

Nice pics...from the looks of it, it appears as though a 2wd could make that..

Yup, with the exception of the one uphill, and maybe a few other spots. Would be a fun snow run spot though.

Do you know of any other good spots in the area? Everything on trail damage is pretty far out.

So, I headed out to Silver Creek, was hoping there would be less snow than there is around here. Well, I was wrong.

First part of the trail was senic, but had been smoothed out by logging bettle kill last year.

Creek crossing was almost up to my sliders. Luckily right after the creek crossing the trail got a little rougher, but I also found my way into some snow, and it didn't take me too long to get stuck.

Anyways furthest one down the trail this year. Nothing my trusty shovel couldn't hadle.

After shoveling my way out, I headed over Calamity Pass to head up Jack Creek. There were a few smallish obstacles, some tight switchbacks, and some very narrow shelf road. Takes you up to an very interesting canyon though, and very pretty this time of year with all the creeks and runoff. I almost made it to the end, but decided I didn't want to pull out the shovel again.

Travis (NativeTaco) showed my boy and I the Sevenmile trail today. We had a blast! The truck did well and we made it through without any damage other than the fact that my stock shocks are done being shocks. In case anyone was wondering, don't believe the kid at toytec when he tells you that the shock extensions will be fine to extend your stock shocks to fit your lift and that you won't need longer bumpstops or anything as long as you're not jumping your truck because uh... yeah, that's not true. I'm pretty sure they ceased to function as shock absorbers as soon as the truck came down on them after the first big rock. It was a very bouncy ride home on the pavement. Oh well, just means I get to buy some real shocks now.
Anyway, the trail was cool, Travis was a saint for putting up with my rambunctious seven year old, and he even showed us his "stabbin' cabin". Very cool!

It was my pleasure guys! I had a great time too, glad the weather was so good for us. thanks again for helping me unload that spare set of tires!

Im glad you messaged me because I want to get out and wheel as much as I can this summer while doing a few other much-needed things like getting back into shape and having a few TWers out to the cabin. So far this summer is off to a great start!

Yes it is, but the tippy part isn't getting tippier, the high side is just getting narrower due to the low side getting wider, hopefully it keeps it up and works itself out.

Damn, that picture of me climbing that boulder isn't too flattering... Hence the getting back into shape. I am surprised I managed to get up the rock though :)

    Fixed, I think.

I remember the tippy spot, but I have no reference as to whether it's getting any worse or not. I know Travis drove through it with the side of his truck an inch or so from the bank and I gave it much more room. I never really felt like I'd tip over though.

Mine felt like it kind of wanted to since it's skinnier lol. Good, I hope that right side flattens out some more.

Doesn't seem like it looks that bad but it felt pretty sketch lol

Took a trip to the hills after work to escape the heat. 100 when I left town and got down to 60 pretty quick, headed up to the Alice area to do some recon and hopefully some fishing. Decided to try Chins Lake first, made it to 10,800 before the trail started getting a little questionable and decided to turnaround. I probably could have gone further, but I was solo and did not want to get stuck, have to back down the trail in the snow or slide off of the shelf road, which you can see in the above pics someone came close to doing.
