just wanted to throw this out there, but we hit the trails just about every weekend, even in the snow, lol, even though we havent had much of it lately, lol
Just shot me a PM or email when/if your interested, oh, and if ya got friends that have something other than a Yota, they are always welcome.

Although my '09 is pretty stock, I may not be as ballsy as you guys are... I still have some fun, but some of that rock crawlin stuff you guys were doin is a little beyond my vehicle currently. Not until I get skid plates and rock sliders!

 

I am up for hitting some trails, but nothing too crazy as I dont have sliders and my Tacoma is my daily driver. If we do something too crazy I will just take my girls jeep for the day. Defiantely up for getting together sometime.

 

you guys would be surprised, just how far, how hard a "stock" rig can go with a good spotter, I did China Wall with my running boards, lol and didnt crunch them some good spotting and taking your time but I finally got sliders, just waiting on tires

 

I have done some pretty good trails in my truck. I have done parts of Ironclads, all of Bill Moore Lake, Mosquito Pass and a few others that are not low rated trails. I do have a a 2.5" lift with some A/T tires, so I am not stock, just dont want to do anything to really damage my truck, I am willing to hit some trails though.

 

so who would be able to hit a trail on sat. ? may 9th ?

 

There's a trail run planned on TTORA - unless you're already aware of that and are just letting ppl on this forum know

eh, i don't really care. i just want to hit up some trails with people more experienced than i, with the hopes that i can learn something. doesn't matter to me what forum they do or don't belong to. politics *shouldn't* have a place here. unfortunately, that's not the case.

 

I hear ya, and totally agree, but sometimes personalities just dont get along, we are just a different type of wheeling group.

 

maybe you'll have to elaborate on "different type" of wheeling group - because i never been bashed on ttora - but i do get the feeling that they're way more hardcore than i'll (or my truck) will ever be. there's definitely some stuff i'd like to do as far as mods, but i'm not going to be building this truck into a rock crawler. it still needs to be my daily driver! i love to go wheelin, but i don't want to go on any trails outside my or my truck's abilities.

 

I should have said different "personalities"
lets just say that the people I wheel with, to include myself, just dont get along with a few of them, so we chose not to wheel with them, call it a conflict of personalities. There are some really GREAT people there, and most are more than willing to help out in any way they can. Give them a shot, go wheel with them..
As far who I wheel with, we honestly do not care what you wheel, as long as you wheel, lol we wheel with yotas, jeeps, nissans, fords. we run anything from dirt senic roads, to the rocks, just depends on who is going, we have a few "stockers" one guy with a new 4runner, talk about a low rider, lol anyway, sorry for babbling.

 

anyone up for some China Wall and a BBQ ? yea, we are gonna BBQ after the trail

hrm... i think i want sliders before i go do any more trails that i'm not familiar with. i got lucky with slaughterhouse, there were bypasses on all the sections that i would've dropped my rockers on. i'm concerned i won't have the clearance and without sliders... yea. otherwise i'd love to!

were you running that thing up @ slaughterhouse may 9th? looks familiar haha. i'll think about it... i was surprised my truck did so well @ slaughterhouse, but that was considered a "stocker" run - and i made it just fine without damage, but that would probably be the most extreme i'd want to go in mah stocker...

 

nope, wasnt me, lol I havent done Slaughterhouse in years, lol IMHO China Wall is easier being all obsticals have a bypass,,,

i don't know if that subie "made" it - lol - but that reminds me of a subie almost identical to that going up saxon pass. he scraped the hell out of his undercarriage, but the car was somehow in one piece... and managed to make it out in one as well...

 

Im sure he was scraping lol,, he said he wheels that subi alot,
