Starting a gear checklist. Please feel free to add/change as you see necessary. I stole these lists off Overland Journal and edited them for us common folk. Also my wife has committed to cooking breakfast for everyone one morning. She makes killer burritos. Probably be saturday morning, as that will be more of a sight seeing day and we dont have to cover as much ground, so we can take our time getting on the road.

    Vehicle:

    Extra air filter
Extra fuel- I think I am going to pack 15 gallons.
    Fire extinguisher
    Front and rear recovery points
    Shovel
    Jumper cables
    Drivetrain fluids
    Recovery strap
    Jack
    Tire tool/4way
    Tarp
    Tool kit -sockets/wrenches/pliers
Fullsize spare tire--I recommend two spares
    Tire chains
Spare key, hidden outside vehicle-what a bummer it would be to be locked out of your rig in the middle of nowhere.
Communications-CB preferred. Some will have HAM.
    OBA/air compressor/CO2

    Camping/personal:

Water (One gallon of water per day, per person plus reserve - weather will dictate)
Windproof and waterproof jacket - We all know how June in NV is.
    Tent
    Sleeping bag
Change of clothes, socks and shoes.-There will be hiking to a pretty cool little lake on night one if you want.
    Gloves
    Food
    Means of cooking
Cash-I think most places we stop at will have card readers, but maybe not.
Navigation resources-Gazeteer is a good one, I also have the NDOT map. Also going to get Gaia nav for my phone.
    Flashlight-headlamp
    First aid kit
    sunscreen
Saw of sorts-There shouldnt be fire restrictions for June, so we can have bon fires.:D
    Camera
    Camp chairs
    Fishing gear

I would add some sort of OBA, I'll be rocking a CO2 set-up.

That's a good list. I'll try to think of more things. Is the terrain difficult in spots?
...still hoping to make this trip. Breakfast burritos are a definite +.

Yes right! I have a small compressor I'll be tugging along. I need to figure out an OBA solution.

Eh, not really. There are a few spots that get kind of rocky, but the one spot I can think of that is bad, I have gone over in my Dodge diesel on 35s. It was really tight in some spots, but nothing bad. Of course with it being spring, and winter finally starting to show up, we may run into washed out spots. I should edit and say, nothing a 4wd with decent tires cant handle. No peerunners. :p

I think I am packing 15 gallons. Just have to steal a few of my dads jerry cans so they pack better.

I'll be rolling with 10 extra gallons. That'll get me ~120 miles over the norm which should be good.

    Nope. No-can-do.

    Joking of course.

I'll have to get together with Eric and fab up a nifty rotopax set-up. Gas/water most likely.
