ahahaha yup. It was funny.... we were actually heading down Juan Tabo and pulled up next to eachother at a light. He noticed my truck, rolled down his window and started complimenting my truck and asking me to turn in one of the paring lots so he could look at it. lol So I did, and we talked for a little while about different rigs in Albuquerque, and your truck came up. Nice guy.. told me to go join the nm off-road forum.

I'm heading out to the Puerco today, as well, man.... Taking my little bro out there for his birthday. so we might see out there. Did you get your new tires on?

 

I'll probably make it out there around 11:30 and 12...

 

took the zuk for a little drive down the road, running good! just need to get it registered now! did a little high lift flexing!

Yay! Silas came over and helped me with the pinch weld. He certainly takes joy in smashing on Tacomas with sledgehammers. Good thing is, no more rubbing on the front tires!

Just got back from Lowe's. Picked up a center punch and some shorter bolts. Going to finally get the spare tire holder mounted tomorrow. The plan is Silas approved!

 

I was gonna help out but wasn't sure when the operation was gonna happen so I didn't let Silas know.

Hey Silas, got the pilot hole drilled. I screwed up.

The hole is actually centered with the bed which means the plate isn't sitting flush on the spare tire bracket.

Looks like I'm going to have to resort to plan B: a grinder.

Just got a call from the wife who's traveling from AZ this AM in the Taco. The auto shut off on the gas pump didn't work and she spilled gas on the fender flare, said it turned white..

Anybody got any remedies for this when I get it back?

 

Tons of armor all, or I've heard mothers back to black works well.
