OME is a step up from the stock TRD suspension. Not sure how they compare to Icons since I've never ridden them.

I'm happy with what I have and I can keep up with the guys when we race through the washes however:

    1. I air down to 15psi (and this makes a big difference)
    2. The bumper and IFS skid make for a heavy front end (the coils I have were designed for the heavier weight).
    3. The Icon UCAs I have made a noticeable difference (but I think the stock UCA bushings were binding).

I have a strong desire to get the Icon rear shocks to take advantage of the full travel the Dakar leaf packs can give. I like rock crawling where articulation is all important. Because of this, I'm still on the path for a solid axle conversion. Which is why I'm hesitant on getting Icons for the front.

If you have the money, get the Icons. If you are trying to balance other mods, get OME.

Whatever you do, get the proper rated coils for what you want to do. Wheeler's Offroad, SDHQ or DownSouth Motorsports should be able to help with that.

Since icons are digressive they are firmer at low speed. I know shops like DSM valve their icons so they arnt as stiff at low speed.

Okay, cool! Does this effect performance at high speeds?

That is going to take some research. Going to have to be custom ordered or sourced from parts for a different vehicle. ORI struts are getting good reviews from the likes of JLee. Probably can still get Icons but would have to do my research to make sure I get some built correctly.

Ya would it be strange to have OME up front and ICON in the rear?

    From an OCD perspective, sure.

From getting functionality out of a suspension while on a budget, no.

OME 90000 nitrocharger sport front with OME 885 coil or 886?

Shit, that's what I remembered and forgot to do last night. I'm posting up something in the adventure thread.

In other news, me and f'ing spraypaint don't get along. Stupid can of primer stopped spraying with it still being about 3/4 full. Have to run to Autozone for more.

Looks like my back pay is going to pay to have the flywheel replaced. Tired of the starter missing every so often.

I strolled by Discount Tire and saw Silas working away.

    He had the Tercel today.

Nick, I'm leafing through the FSM now. Is there an adjustment to align the starter with the flywheel or is it just a straight bolt on?

BTW, brand new can of primer has me huffing fumes out in the garage. Not sure why the other can died a premature death.
