ABQ here, too. I'm way down on the western edge of the south valley. Just moved here in June so still poking around. I have hit the Montessa OHV area a few times. It's on my commute.

Well.....I was thinking about the "buffet" at the Coral. This gives everybody the ability to grab their food at once, as opposed to say..eating at the Frontier and waiting for your food to come individually (nothing like watching a friend wolf down a burger while you are sitting there waiting for your food to show up). I thought the west side had a nice Coral place, plus lots of space to situate some tables together. I would have suggested the Frontier (they have great food), but they are "always" so crowded with students, and seating is pretty limited, even with their expansion to the east of the main restaurant.

As for time schedules, if we do this on a work day, we need to be aware that many people may be coming from out of town, such as Los Alamos (I work there), Carlsbad, etc. My personal opinion would be for a Friday night, which would give people enough time to get off work and get into town and not worry about having to get up early the next day OR some time during a Saturday. Giving that most of us probably have families and other family related duties to attend to, scheduling this will be the most difficult part......nobody likes to be left out....but then, we can't please everybody........just my humble two cents worth.....

I think your thinking of Golden Pride... in that case yes it is almost the same as Frontier.

As for when to meet up I almost positive I can do both days. I think Saturday might be better that way we can do some wheelin (something everyone can do) beforehand.

well i agree i think sometime on saturday would be best itll give people a chance to get their stuff done in the moring, and i would think that the majority of us would be off on the weekends i know i am.

what time do you guys think? i know one of you said to go wheeling then get some grub after. i think that sounds like a good idea! but depending on where you guys went i might have to skip the wheeling haha.

    Jail......well, that won't be fun.

wheeling, where could we go that would not damage our nice clean rigs......

When I had my 4Runner, I know there was a place outside (west of ABQ) Albuquerque called Cimmeron Mesa, however, as I recall it was pretty brutal for IFS rigs, actually, I don't think any IFS rig would have made it......

I know Rio Rancho (Rio Puerco) is interesting, but scenic.....I don't know about that. As well, there is usually loads of bikes out there kicking it up.....

How about the mountains? Anything up that way?

    Gilman tunnels? too far?

Mall wheeling...... maybe lock it into 4-low and climb the curb......
