Camping around SLC is going to be slim pickings that late at night, check out this site and try to find a place a little north where you can set up in some light. Or, if you just need somewhere to crash I got a couch you're welcome too.

    See my build thread!
You could also just park in the Semi Truck/RV area at Cabelas, they keep it lit up at night. Right off exit 284 on I-15.

Sounds like a great plan. I've did similar trips covering that area numerous times, but it was usually on the way back from Grand Canyon Nat. Park. You can easly spend three or four days in Zion, there is a lot to see. I would check ahead for permit requirements and the water flow rate if you plan on hiking the Narrows. I would also reserve a cabin in Zion for at least one night, a soft bed after all that driving and hiking etc. sure can't be beat. Never been to Bryce in the summer, but a late winter/early spring snow fall makes it one of the most beautiful places i've seen. take lots of pictures and have fun.

Well the trip was a smashing success! Had an absolute blast biking and hiking and shooting photos. I've put up a bit of a story in a few posts on my personal site (http://davidtimothy.com) if you're interested in checking them out. Also, check out my cousin's site where he's posted some incredible photos as well: http://scottstedman.com

Delicate Arch is an awesome spot. We stayed till after dark for the stars. Mesa Arch was a zoo-although beautiful, I'm not sure I'd go for sunrise again. Zion & Bryce are amazing!

Mesa Arch was a bit busy (damn that .25 mile hike from the parking lot -- should be 3 miles to weed out the tourists who just want to snap a selfie with their cell phone), but not too bad due to it being only February. I swear half of the restaurants, visitor centers, companies were closed until March 1. It was kinda nice actually! Felt like we had Utah almost to ourselves.

Wow, if I saw this thread earlier I could've given you a shit ton of advice/opinions/ideas/do/don'ts. Knowing how it feels to being fresh and new at it all, I know you had your plate full trying to plan such a trip all at once!

In the past 8.5yrs, I've spent a huge amount of time hiking and exploring all of Southern Utah, year round. Many things I've done more than a few/several times. I've been to Page, AZ (Lake Powell) just about 30 times now (I lost count after 25). And every UT park 10-15+ times each, including 3 Grand Staircase off-roads....while hitting the cool "off-the-beaten-path" hikes and destinations along the way during these years... etc etc etc etc etc, lol.

From just a few of the pics you've posted, it's obvious you hit some of the major highlights and the pics look great! Glad it worked out well for you. Utah can keep someone busy for decades :D
