almost anything but chopper i flew for channel 2 in SLC for the last year and half before they got rid of sky2 and no matter what i did they always called it a chopper. seemed kinda stupid and confusing to me when the competition uses "chopper 5"

Keep an eye on the Utah threads cause hopefully someone will plan a meet here soon once the weather starts to warm up.

 

Any body have any suggestions of trails to hit down in the salt lake area? I mainly do stuff in between farmington and ogden canyons, but am looking for new trails and what not to hit. Suggestions? Not looking for anything to extreme where i have to worry about getting stuck or anything, just looking for some fun new trails to try out.

 

Not much is open up north with all the snow still in the mountains. I like the roads up Farmington Canyon up behind the towers on Francis Peak and then take Skyline from Farmington Canyon over to the B in Bountiful. I don't expect Skyline to open for at least another month.

Your best bet this early into summer would be Five Mile. There is a ton of exploring to be done out there with little to no risk of getting stuck.

Keep an eye of the forum we are getting into summer when we have the majority of our meets.

 

Yeah, i grew up in Farmington and spent quite a bit of time up there on 4-wheelers growing up. Are you talking about five mile down in lehi? Or is there a different one?

Yeah i missed out on the two meets last year because i was up in Montana visiting my parents both times, hopefully it works out better this year.

 

Yeah, the Five Mile down by Lehi. We have gone out there as a group several times.

A nice day trip would be check out Ophir, the Mercur Cemetery and then over to Five Mile.
